Introduction
II. Title of the Project
The group came up with the title that will automatically explain the goal and purpose of
the project. Hence, they chose the title “Feeding Hungry Minds”.

III. Project Proponent


This project is headed only by the Group 1 of National Service Training Program 2.

IV. Location
The project will be carried out in a small compound located at Sitio Upper Bathala
Sampaloc, Tanay Rizal.

V. Beneficiaries
The persons who will benefit from the project are the children in the community.

VI. Duration/Time of Implementation


The project will begin on March 11 until April 1 wherein it composes of four weeks. The
session will be held every Friday of the week from 1 to 3 o’clock in the afternoon.

VII. Project Rationale


The group conducted a survey in the said community and based from the gathered
responses it shows that the area needs assistance in terms of education for children.

VIII. Project Objectives

The aim of this project is to help students acquire knowledge and understanding in reading
and writing. Since the set up of nowadays modular learning, students are unexposed in the actual
classroom set up and most of the lesson are self-thought. The group are also eager to develop
their social skills. Emotionally, physically and intellectually, they have to help the children cultivate
skills that are good for mental and overall well-being. Also, the goal is to nurture creative thinking
skills in problem-solving because this are important life skills that are necessary to lead a
successful life. Furthermore, the group does not only focus on curing their minds but also in their
hunger since it will help them to absorb the different lessons an activity that will be executed
during the project.

IX. Project Description
Feeding Hungry Minds Project targets children who are victim of the pandemic
and the new learning set-up which made most of them experience the effects of lack of
knowledge and scarcity in food. The project’s goal is to somehow alleviate poverty in
the said community and provide assistance in education particularly in teaching some
lessons that are essential in everyday living (counting, reading English and/or Filipino).
Since the proponent firmly believe that a hungry mind and stomach should be cured and
fed.

XI. Conclusion
Based from the collected data, the group concluded that there is a need to support the
various needs of the children in a rapid and effective way. With regards to providing education,
some of their needs are the learning materials although these are often limited since it will be
donated by the group. Feeding program is also a requirement since the group desires to give
assistance to the children not just in feeding their hungry minds but also feeding their heart.
Hence, the group came up with the title “Feeding Hungry Minds” that seeks to help alleviate the
gap that the new learning set up and deliver food to at least ease their hunger.
