STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Why I decided to go for an international institution in Australia rather than to pursue my

further education from India or any other abroad country?

Considering India as my first option for my higher studies I searched various premier institutions
and courses offered in them for pursuing higher education in the field of accounting and
commerce including:

After assessing these parameters: - Limited seats availability, Requirements for Admission,
Selection Criteria and Caste Based Reservation Policies I came to notice that it is quite a
harder task for me to ascertain admission in these.

I preferred these institutions in India because of their reputation, industrial trainings and
after getting graduated placements options in top companies of India.

So, the best option for me to pursue my higher studies in field of accounting, an abroad
qualification would be a lenient option to enrolled in (an international qualification one has to just
satisfy the essential academic and English Language requirements) and to acquire a competent
skill set that would enables me for availing best opportunities in top MNCs.

Among international education providers Australia, Canada, USA and UK are most renowned
countries who are home to various top ranked universities and offer a best class education and
non-replaceable lifestyle.

Considering USA, UK and Canada to study at, I explored following Universities and courses:-

 Butler University(USA)(www.butler.edu):-
 Course offered:-Master of Professional Accounting.
 Duration of course and admission requirements are major concerns to get enrolled in this
University.
 Rady School of Management (University of California San Diego)
(www.rady.ucsd.edu) (USA):-
 Course offered:-Master of professional Accountancy
 Intake is available for 2019, so is the reason behind not choosing this option.

 Coventry University(UK)(www.coventry.ac.uk):-
 Course Offered:-MSc Professional Accounting
 Entry requirements for the course are the reason for not opting this course.

Another major concern to pursue education in USA or UK is costs associated with allied
qualifications and living arrangements.

 University of Saskatchewan (Edwards School of Business) ( www.usask.ca):-

 Course offered: - Master of Professional Accounting
 Admission requirements (Adequate Knowledge of Canadian accounting, auditing and tax
and English language proficiency) are quite stringent to get enrolled in this University.
 Brock University(Goodman School of University)(www.brocku.ca):-
 Course Offered:-Master of Professional Accounting(ISP)
 Admission requirements are (Four Year bachelor Degree and an IELTS score of
6.5(overall) with no band less than 6.00) not compatible according to my profile.

Moreover, while considering Canada to pursue my study I noticed that it is one of the renowned
destination for me to pursue my further education at because of its research oriented education
and best place to live in because of its multi-lingual society along with lower costs as compared to
USA and UK but when I considered weather conditions I found that Canadian climatic conditions
are not compatible for one who belongs to a country where moderate climatic conditions prevails.

In recent past years the count of students who are opting Australia for higher studies has shown
an unusual hike. On exploring about Australia I Noticed following facts about it:

Because of its vibrant and varied cultural settings and friendly natives Australia is offering a
companionable society to live in. Australia is housing universities which are holding positions
among top universities of world. Australia offers a diverse range of courses to international
students at various universities. Most of the courses and trainings offered to international students
are regulated by Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) and Education services for
Overseas Students (ESOS), systems for regulating education policies authorized by Australian
Government. Education provided in Australia is integrating the intensive research and industrial
practices and thus able to transform one’s abilities into actual working skills. Australian
qualifications are acceptable and recognized all over the world.

Australia is offering world class living facilities in considerably lower cost. A number of
scholarships are offered to international students by Australian Governments and Universities
to help them out with their living expenses. Also working permissions while on student visa help
them further to manage their expense without any worry.

Australia is providing an ample space for research and innovation and provides an opportunity
for students to carry out their own projects which might results into something beneficial for the
society.
Also the weather of Australia is similar to my home country and thus offers an easy settlement.

Thus, because of its Multi cultural societyglobal reputation in the field of research and
education, Quality of education, world class infrastructural and educational resources,
working opportunities while on study visa and post study working permissions and
suitable climate, Australia is best option to pursue higher studies at.
