Fishing has never been out of place in the Filipinos' livelihood. Throughout the

years, fishing is also part of many Filipinos' primary source of income in the Philippines

coastal areas. Its value did not depreciate for many years and was still providing one of

the people's basic needs, which is food. Base on this fact, fishing industries kept rising

every year. Some initiatives mainly focus on fishing, new productions, material and

supplies, making it consistently part of the market. These provide food on every

consumer and provide stable jobs for those who have outstanding skills in connection

with fishing. Hundreds of thousands of people work on fishing vessels, factories, and

merchandises to supply the consumers' needs. Although modern fishing includes

advance technologies and equipment and ordinary fishers was affected by these it also

helped them to be competent in this industry, so that they will continue to serve the

fresh consumer product from the seas.

Fishing tackles is the equipment used by anglers when fishing. Almost equipment

or gear used for fishing can be called fishing tackles. Some examples are hooks, lines,

sinkers, floats, rods, reels, baits, lures, spears, nets, gaffs, traps, waders, and tackles
boxes. Those aforementioned products and fishing supplies are what Mandaragat

Fishing Shop wished to sell in the municipality of San Jose.

The business aims to promote the aquatic wildlife resources of the area and attract

people interested in the industry. It will allow the people to raise awareness in the

market and create a trend within the fishing industry that will remove every bad practice

and replace it with sustainable methodologies.

C. MARKETING

We offer a convenient one-stop resource for all fishing products. It will provide a

wide selection of fishing products as well as information on fishing conditions. We can

provide the tackle and bait you will need for varied species. Different sizes and brand of

nylon are also spare parts for machine and rental fishing motorboat. By having this

business, it was the first fishing shop in San Jose, Northern Samar. It is hard to find

quality fishing products at a reasonable price because costumer will tend to choose

substandard quality products that will suit their budgets. Mandaragat Fishing Shop aims

to provide budget-friendly quality products that will surely put their account into purpose

and meet their budget basket.

Mandaragat Fishing Shop will be using a primary medium of promotion, instead

of using individual flyers we considered making the packaging as a promotional material

to advertise our store and let the consumer know the available product and services.

This will also include our name and logo, contact number, address and functional

products and services. We will again be posting tarpaulin and store signage and then

penetrate the online advertisement on social media.


This business has best to offer to its customers, since we offered products, it is

our responsibility to keep up their best experience with our products. The products will

be supplemented with additional instructions and information for them to benefit the best

of it. In terms of mechanism, this includes the process of how the activities of business

will flow, here in Mandaragat Fishing Shop we offer Walk-in and Delivery to our

customers. Our customers should reach a total of 5,000pesos worth of item for us to

deliver it straight right in their doorstep with added delivery fee. For walk-in buyers,

there is no minimum amount to reach.

following specific qualification is essential. In hiring employees, a particular application

must have good characters, skills and knowledge about the products interested in

learning.

For the process of hiring; applicant hired fits its job to undergo interviews and be

physically fit outside and inside. The Manager must have the potential to entertain

customers and lead people with humbleness towards co-workers. A manager should

also portray a character that is eager to help you grow your business, and they must be

trustworthy and skillful for the Manager, the owner is responsible for seeing them.

For the Cashier and Sales Attendants, the applicant must know the products to

assist them with the best product that suits their needs and budget. They should also

consider learning an essential language, mathematics skills, and communication skills

necessary for maintaining the customers' trust. Just like hiring a miniature position, the

cashier and the sales attendant will also undergo interviews and physical exams to

check is they are fit enough to do this job.


Since Mandaragat Fishing Shop will only four personnel, a per standards set by

Department of Labor and Employment, the minimum Provincial wage rate will only be

250.00 per day. The personnel of the business will have a daily rate of 275.00 while the

cashier will be given 325.00 per day and the manager will give 500.00 per day

considering the functions and responsibilities attached to the position.

Resource Requirements

The suppliers will be chosen according to the quality and quantity that they can

supply to the business within a certain period of time. A supplier that cannot keep with

the demand will automatically be replaced with one that is more competitive by the

business.

The price will also be considered, if it is too expensive, became too cheap, the

business will have to reevaluate its choices and possibly replace the said supplier. The

reputation will also be considered and the affiliated businesses of the supplier.

Mandaragat Fishing Shop will not involve itself with suppliers that have history of

discrimination, racism or criminal charges against them. The coffee shop is a family-

friendly establishment and also aims to be affiliated with business with the same beliefs

and ideas.

Quality Assurance

The business will start the procurement process by choosing the appropriate

suppliers to order from. The qualifications of the products that are to be supplied will be

considered in choosing the most competent supplier.


Once they are chosen, the business will contact them directly and order certain

amount of materials needed by the business. The products are expected to arrive within

3-5 days and once received, the quality of the ingredients will be evaluated before it can

be used by the business.

If the products are deemed to be defective, it will be returned to the suppliers

promptly. If it is of good quality, the business will then proceed to the operating process

Modern technology has been a huge part of our life. It became part of our daily lives making

it a lot easier and convenient for everyone. With the rise of pandemic, it became more important

as most of the usual things we do now are done online. May it be a work, business and

academic related. Along with this is a problem where most people are not that rich to afford

modern gadgets that enables a person to search and communicate online. That is why this

business aims to provide a very affordable rate to the ones needing it especially to students

having online classes.

This business is going to bear the business name, SMG Computer Shop. The name of

the shop is the initials of the owner, Sheila Mae Gabion. It will be operated personally by the

owner herself along with a salesperson/assistant. The said business will be located in Brgy.

Bangkerohan, Catarman Norther Samar. The services that it will offer is a rental computer and

printing services. The rent will be a minute-based rate to accommodate students. The main
objective of this business is to provide a cheaper and safe environment from the user. Unlike

other computer shops, it will be stress free and there will enough spaces between each

computer to promote safety and privacy to each user. Along with the rental service is a printing

service that will be beneficial to office worker and students. In addition, clients who are not

knowledgeable in using computers are offered guiding services. It will not only generate profit

but provide something that a community need.

Computer shops is not a new business in our community. With that being said,

competitors are already present. In the chosen location, there is only one competitor that is not

fully established yet. It lacks a printing service and has small space. To compete this, this

business will be providing a bigger space, nicer ventilation and a reasonable rental rate service.

Currently, the estimated population of Brgy. Bangkerohan is around 2,500 although it will

still continue to increase. The target of this business are office workers, online gamers and

student. It could be estimated that the potential client is 60 percent. The rest are considered to

be children and non-office workers.

Currently, there is only one existing computer shop in the area that would directly

compete with the business that the owner is planning to establish. It is a small computer shop

that has 7 rental computers with no printing services but has already been operating since the

year 2019.

The business has the competitive of offering printing services that would be essential to

students and office workers. It also has faster internet connection for gamers. Alongside with
these advantages is a better ventilation and bigger space in case the computer shop became

fully occupied with clients. In addition, a guiding service is given to clients who are less

needed sometimes in providing guiding services. They are also considered cashier in

the said shop. Since there are two staffs, shifting of schedule is proposed. There will be

properly while at work.

The computer shop will be operating on a daily basis. It will open as early as 7:00 in the

morning and will close by 12:00 in the evening since most gamers loves to play late night.

Before opening, all computer will be checked and diagnose first to avoid issues during business

hours. Every week a maintenance check-up is done to equipment.

San Jose Fruits and Vegetables is a business which offers fresh and affordable

fruits and vegetables to the Municipality of San Jose where this business will be built,

and eventually the whole province of Northern Samar. This enterprise is a retail

business that offers varieties of fruits and vegetables that may vary depending on the

available products supplied by the supplier. The enterprise will also offer delivery within

the municipality and other neighbouring towns but with a minimum number of order.

This business is planned by Mr. Kirk Ethan C. Pondemira, a 3 rd year Civil Engineering

student of the University of Eastern Philippines.

This business is classified under the Fruit and Vegetable Retailing Industry which

is not a new trend in this province but may be the first one with proper location or space

and delivery service. It is not a new business since there are a lot of fruit vendors

around in every town of the province which are competitors for this enterprise. The

delivery service and proper store space of this business is the factor that makes this

different from the competitors

. People need and often buy fruits and vegetables as an alternative for other meat

products because of its cheapness and the nutrition that comes with it. The main target

of this business is everyone in the municipality and province since all of the people need

the nutrients that the fruits and vegetables have. This business will be advertised with

Pambujan Northern Samar is a Municipality with 26 Barangays. 12 of these are

along the river Barangays, and it includes Barangay Senonogan, where the business is

planned to be set-up. Along the river barangays only have one option of transportation

in order to come or visit the main of Pambujan, which are the Barangay Poblacion 1 to

8. Aside from not having a land transportation in the said along the river areas, one of

their reasons for the need to travel to the main is to have a signal connections for the

reason that 80% of these barangay does not have any signal connectivity for

communications. For may decades, using a motor boat for transportation is the only

vehicle they can use for faster transportation other than walking and bamboo rafts which

take days from further barangays. Therefore, motor boat is in demand for as the only

fast vehicle in these areas, and as the only vehicle areas, these is the best business for

the people who can afford to buy motor boats, and there is where I came up with the

business of crafting a Motor boat for these barangays especially Barangay Senonogan,

which only had one maker.

Motor Boat business is an Engineering-related Business which involves planning,

measurements accuracy, computations, design and constructions. The business

involves materials like Woods, Nails, Metal Tubes, and the motor which the most
expensive among the materials. The business tends to craft or build motor boats for

clients order and rental service. The motor boat business plays in construction Industry.

The product of the business is a motor boat. Motor boat is a wood-made river or sea

vehicle, which need to be measured accurately and buoyancy should be applicable.

Motor boats consists of different types, but the main product of the business is the

more promising as of others. For the as an owner, I will paramount the safe, quality,

Samar. We could also use as market the seashore areas for construction of Fishing

Boats. The main costumers of the business are those who can afford to order us to

make a motor boat. But, for who can’t, they can sure apply for rental service of motor

boats. The total demand of the product is estimated as 5 to 10 motor boats per year.

The data is based on the estimation I made depending on the experience of one of the

motor boat maker in the area. The market share of the business could be around 5

percent to 10 percent of the market in my estimates. The estimate product’s price would

be around Php 70, 000 – Php 90,000 all in with machine installed. The price range is

based on the size, quality and quantity it can load. The product that can be sold will

depends on the orders of clients no productions of the product unless it was been

ordered and have transactions personally with clients. It is to give options and know
their selections of how should the product be made. Out of it, there will be an annual

production of rental motor boats depending on the demand of operators. The business

could use posters and social media advertisements to promote the product.

The business will ensure the promotional posters and social media flat forms to

deliver awareness to the people, especially to the clients who are searching for some

one who construct motor boats. As well, through out the good service and finished

products, the recommendations of the clients would be given. The business estimated

budget to start the product would be around 200,000 pesos which all be expenses for

machines needed as well as needed materials for the work.

The business production is transactional, the construction of motor boats will be

based on the clients order. The operation of the business will be based on the number

COVID 19 Pandemic. This business will give job opportunities to Pambujanons

and this will also help the economy to grow.

This company will handle small to large scale construction works, namely:

Commercial, Residential, and Industrial Projects.

our services. The team will construct a billboard 100 meters away from where the

Hiring and Income of Employees

To be hired, every applicant must qualify the Job Specification and must

understand his/her job description. Everyone will face interview from the owner

about his/her knowledge and biography.

The owner expects that assistant and construction workers are at least

knowledgeable of their job description.

There will be 1 assistant and 8 construction workers. Assistant will receive

15k per month, construction workers will receive 12k per month + life insurance

and other benefits.

The owner of the business is responsible for specifying the materials and

equipments, and the cost. Will purchase materials from distinguished and

recognized construction supply store.
