We are happy to inform you that we shall be conducting SkillSphere Education's LEAD
Workshop for students of Grades 4 & 5 once again during this academie year. The workshop has
been successfully conducted for students at DPS Gurgaon Sector 45 prior to the pandemic, and will be
conducted in the offine format once again.
LEAD is an acronym for Leadership (L, Entrepreneurship (E), Awareness (A) and Diplomacy
(D). The focus of the workshop is to orient young students and expose them to skill sets in these 4 major
focus areas The entire workshop is highly activity oriented in nature, with many games and
experiential learning opportunities. Students learn about a range of skills through well-structured fun
modules. Some of these skills include public speaking essentials, logical fluency, critical thinking,
lateral thinking, design thinking, team work, problem solving among a range of others. General
know ledge lorms the base ofthe workshop and students learn about a plethora of national as well as
Societal issues. It has succesfully been conducted for 50000+ students across India and the Middle
East since 2015.

The workshop's main objective is to orient students about essential soft skills at a young age when
graspingabilities are better, and it is possible to make these skills second nature. It is conducted over a
span of 3 days (5-6 hours per day).

The details of the LEAD workshop at Delhi Public School, Sector 45, Gurgaon are as follows:

Fee:7 2300/- per participant
Timings: 8:00 am to 2:00 pm

Additional Details of Curriculum for theLEAD Workshop
The different modules that form a part of the LEAD workshop planned for students of Grades 4 and 5 at
DPS Gurgaon Sector 45 are as follows:
Day1
Becoming Friends with Myself- Introductions, Public Speaking and Tean Work
This session focuses on helping students reflect about themselves through a fun activity. They
learn the basic art of introduction and public speaking while also breaking the ice with the trainer
who conducts the session.
I Listen But Also Speak -Oral and Aural Skils, & Team Work
Another very fun session, it focuses on oral and aural skills and the relation between them.
Students participate in a fun activity which requires them to speak based on what they listen
while passing on the message. It also tests team work.
The Avengers-
Societal Awareness,Leadership & Problem Solving
One of the most engaging sessions that forms a part of the LEAD workshop and a hot favourite
among students, in this session, they create their own Avenger avatar. Thereafter, they have to
try and solve major problems plaguing the world through a problem-solving paradigm explained
to them.

Day 2
Solution Probleming - Design Thinking and ldeation

In this session, students are taught the way of going from a problem to a solution, and then using
the solution to solve multiple other problems. As design thinking is becoming a very important
skill in the 21 century, developing this at a young age is very important. This session focuses on
this.
The Gamers- Entrepreneurship, Lateral Thinking and Public Speaking
In this session, students are made to design their own game and try and auction it to the other
members of the class. Doing this in groups, they learn the art of sales pitching, entrepreneurship
and public speaking through the process.
I Can Work Alone - Team Work & Man Management
A combination of fun games, this session teaches students he importance of team work and
coordination. Through the game, they learn the dilferent types of team members and the traits
that good team members have.

My Biggest Fear - Public Speaking and Expression

This is a very innovative elocution-based session in which students engage in group discussions
about their personal traits, and then come up with elocution speeches on very off beat topics.
Different aspects of public speaking are covered through this process.
Money and Medium of Exchange - Financial Literacy and Leadership
This session provides students with an insight into how money works, and the basic aspects of
financial literacy. This includes saving, spending decisions and investments. They are taught
these aspects through participation in an interactive game with a virtual currency.
From Another Planet Global Awareness and Negotiation
In the final session of Day 3, students are enlightened about our planets and solar system. They
thereafter become aliens of different planets trying to save it from a deadly meteor through
negotiations and performance of activities. It is a fun culnmination to the LEAD workshop!
