My Personal Lifelong Learning Plan Reflection Paper

The Personal Lifelong Plan has made me oriented and realized of the things I should be strong at in order to cope with the trends at present
and beyond. Upon doing my Personal Lifelong Learning Plan I realized that the activities must be specific, manageable, attainable,
realistic and time-bounded so that despite of all the barriers that I face in pursuing my learning in order to achieve the 21st century literacies
it will be successful and I also realized that I am weak in some of the 21st century literacy especially in art skills and financial literacy.
Though I have that skills but these skills which for me is very important to have nowadays especially now we are experiencing economic
crisis and art skills is very much needed for me specially this time of pandemic in teaching and learning process. I need to focus myself in
attaining this literacy because this is my weakness. I need to make an action in order for me to achieve the well-developed skill of financial
literacy and art skills to become a globally and holistically 21st century teacher.

It made me also realized that, most of my 21st century literacy skills are only good. I still need to pursue harder in order to learn more and to
well-develop my literacy skills. I believe that having a passion and dedication in everything that I do will help me attain these skills and
can make me a 21st century teacher. The literacies that I am good at are Eco literacy, Financial Literacy, and Globalization and
Multiculturalism Literacy Cyber literacy, Media Literacy and Social/Emotional Literacy. The common activities I plan to engage is surfing
the internet to read articles regarding each of them and attending free webinars online. Aside from surfing the net, I would pursue having
time talking to a DENR personnel about environment protection and preservation programs and ask for soft or hard copies of documents of
such programs. For financial matters, I also intend to read watch with a business or financial management expert. Along the way, to take
some of my time is finding finance expert. I still have to update or upgrade myself as everyday something new is discovered. I will utilize
any media through which I can get information, insights and even research study findings. Added to that, I will attend symposia or
seminars, confer with other media-expert teachers and enroll in short courses.

My experience on the process of designing this lifelong learning plan helps me to reflect on the skills I need to improve. Every entry has to be
analyzed and checked to make sure they are attainable and realistic considering the many challenges which are coming out along each
action. Also, I was able to assess myself on the level of competency I possess which are very important as a 21st century teacher/learner.
Regardless of the level of competency I possess in the different literacies, carefully chosen and identified meaningful actions to enhance or
improve it clearly show important processes to be able to master that literacy. With the careful formulation of actions, schedules, possible
challenges and solutions, I arrived at a conclusion that every skill needs to be utilized regularly and should be mastered and updated to be
able to meet the demands of this 21st century world. Moreover, every individual in any field must understand that acquiring knowledge is
not enough, one must consider how this knowledge is utilized that should make a difference. Again, learning is continuous and it is
therefore relevant to say that if you are a lifelong learner, you will become a lifelong leader in your field. There are some challenges I know
might be encountered while implementing these actions such as those that are mention in the plan including the time constraint availability
of the of the people in the school and in the community. Time, financial resources and the behaviour might also be factors that can affect the
successful implementation, but I believe that with strong determination, plus the right knowledge, skills, attitudes and values will make the
complete package of the full and successful implementation of this plan.

When I completed my Personal Lifelong Learning Plan I did not think it to myself that making it is just a requirement but instead I
considered it that making this Personal Lifelong Learning Plan is an opportunity for me to build a better teacher someday because according
to the famous saying that which says that you cannot teach what you don’t know and you cannot give what you don’t have. I need to
equip myself with this 21st century and literacy skills so that I can give and impart these values and skills to my learners. To produce high
quality, globally and holistically well-developed learners are my dream as a teacher. I want my pupils to remember me as there teacher who
taught them about life and give them inspiration to accept all the challenges whatever will they face in the future for them to be successful
in life. The Personal Lifelong Plan has made me oriented and realized of the things I should be strong at in order to cope with the trends at
present and beyond. I hope that doing the activities in this Personal Lifelong Learning Plan will make me become what I wish to teach to
my pupils.
