Elicit Fill Me Out (The students will be given a template to complete with ideas critical thinking, communication
(5 mins) about earthquakes. They will be asked to share their ideas to the class while
the teacher takes notes on the board.)
Engage Composing with Key Words (Every learner finds a pair. The teacher gives a critical thinking, communication,
(5 mins) paragraph with deleted words in it. The students will try to fill the gaps/blanks collaboration
with the proper term to complete the thought of the sentences in the
paragraph.)
Explore Station Rotation (The class will be divided into 3 small groups. Each group critical thinking, communication,
(15 mins) will be given a flash file to play interactively. The students will work on the collaboration
simulation activity using the flash file. They will take turns every after the
given time and the signal is heard.)
Explain Think and Search (From the interactive activities done, students answer critical thinking, communication
(10 mins) comprehension questions given by the teacher. Answers may be gathered
from several parts of the given text or authentic materials presented and put
together ideas to make meaning if needed.)
Elaborate Watch and Learn. (The class will watch a video about the Solsona critical thinking, communication,
(10 mins) MDRRMC Rescue and Operations Drill using “playposit.” On every pause on collaboration,
the video, the class needs to answer and submit an answer.)

Real Life Scenario (The class is divided into 3 small groups. Th students
share ideas about the important things to do before, during and after an
earthquake.)
Evaluate It’s Zipgrade Time! (The students will work on an interactive quiz about
disaster preparedness on earthquake. The teacher will use Zipgrade in
checking the papers.)

Extend Plan and Design (The students will make a family disaster preparedness plan
and a list of what to include in a disaster kit.
(The teacher provides a template for the plan and a picture of a sample
disaster kit)
