• Our company has decided to launch a product which will mainly satisfy the daily
need of the customers. We will provide them better quality chemical free pens.
• We will be primarily focus on two pen variants which are Regular Pen and
Premium Pen.

• Background of Biswarup Ghosh – She is a student of M.B.A and holds a
specialization in marketing. She also has a background related to BBA in Hospital
Management.

FINANCIAL SOURCES

• Personal Investments – Initially, I will start my start-up business by investing my


own capital. I have prepared the estimated budget that will be required for the
business and mutually I have decided that I will invest 80% of the required budget.
• Investor – Now, to cover the last 20% I will call in a investor who will cover our
20% capital and he will receive annual profit based on the investment he has done.
Here he will gain a profit of 20%.

Population – All the customers visited in General Merchant, Modern Trades and
Stationary Stores in Kolkata.

SEGMENTATION

We have segmented the market based on some certain parameters like demographic,
psychographic, behavioral and geographic. Now based on the findings of the market
research we will target some segmented area.
TARGETING

• Now for the age part, we are basically targeting the young aged customers as they
are more into schools and colleges & Offices. So, we are targeting the age group
of 14-35.
• Here we will be focusing more on kids and teenagers as they tend to buy
stationary items on regular intervals.
• We will be more focusing on those people who are in Schools and Colleges.

POSITIONING

• We are planning to distribute free samples so that the targeted customers can
know about our products quality.
• We are also planning to start a campaign named “WRITE WITH PRIDE” in all
the social media platforms.

OPERATION PLAN

• As it is a startup business, we will not rent any apartment or house for operational
activities. we have a vacant warehouse which is in a suitable location in Kolkata
for the operational activities. It has 1500sqft area.
• All the manufactured sample pieces will be stored here only and will be
distributed by our sales staff in the stationaries, outside colleges, GT and MT.
• After completing the distribution of the sample pieces, we will initially make the
line man as our channel partners and we will try to push the products (Initially it
will be combo packs) in the retail stores by the line man and not only that we will
also try to distribute the sample by online through the campaign “WRITE WITH
PRIDE”.

MANUFACTURING PLAN
• As we have said that it is a startup so we won’t use any big house or we won’t rent
any unnecessary building. The vacant warehouse that we have will be used for
production and research and development purposes.
• We will purchase the equipment that will be required for production purposes and
we will also buy the other equipment that will be required for development
purposes.
• Initially for the distribution of free sample products we will produce 1000 units.
1000 units will be Regular Pens.
• For the final distribution we will produce in 20Rs and 60Rs pieces.
• We also produce Combo Packs of 5 and 10 units.
