Smith finishes in
second place tie

When it comes to the State Class
B golf tournament it's hard to finish
in the top 15 and earn All-State. But
Riley Smith did just that. The junior
finished in a tie for second place,
becoming the first Glasgow golfer to
place that high. Smith was seventh
last year.
The state meet was held
at Fairmont Hot Springs near
Anaconda.
Brian Lee took fifth in 1972,
Dale Squires fifth in 1979 and
seventh in 1979 and third in 1981,
and Todd Truscott ninth in 2004.
Glasow had six girls finish in
the top 10, Sue Wimmer seventh
in 1979, Theresa Nelson seventh in
1987, Nikki Archambeault ninth in
1991, Katie Truscott third in 2002,
and Karissa Hughes seventh in
2004, and second in 2005.
The scotties finished in a
tie for sixth with Eureka, both
scoring a 717. Jefferson won the
championship with a 677, followed
by Columbus with 689, Anaconda

them return: Smith, Ingram, Feezell, and Koski will be TOURNAMENT
playing a lot of golf this summer to get prepared for next
season. They all had another taste of the state tournament 2022
and will be hungry for a championship next year.
