WEEK 2

Learning Task 2:

1. Discuss two of the NSTP-CWTS Core Values. Cite an example to support your answers.

 First core value is the Protection and conservation of the environment. Protection and
conservation are important for the survival of our species. If we don't preserve and conserve, we
waste our valuable resources. We may endure and slowly die and will not be able to help each
other because we used different resources when extending our hands to those who are
suffering. Without these resources, we won’t achieve a better welfare and betterment of life in
our community. We must protect the environment we live in first by recycling, reusing, and
composting, making better transport choices, reducing our electricity usage, and others that
 Second core value that we must acquire is the Love of God. God created the world that we lived
in and according to Genesis 1:27, “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God he
created him; male and female He created them.” Humans are in the image of God in their moral,
spiritual, and intellectual nature. Thus, we should live with Discipline, truth, goodness, social
responsibility and other good traits that NSTP-CWTS’s core values have.

2. What is the Vision and Mission of NSTP-CWTS to the role of the youth? Give a situational example to
support your answer

 It aims to promote and integrate values education, transformational leadership, spirit of

patriotism and nationalism and sustainable social mobilization for youth development,
community building and national security. Benefits derived from the program were topped by
enhancement of skills on basic leadership with emphases on the ability to listen and ability to
communicate which were rated very important and very much benefited among other training
aspects of the program. Youths are also aware of the importance of physical, mental and social
health as well as the observance of proper hygiene for overall sense of well-being when
