INTRODUCTION
Highlighting the first four parts of the Big 6 Model: Task Definition, Information Seeking
Strategies, Location and Access, and Use of Information
Harry: Hi, mars! OMG di ko alam na nandito ka sa webinar, kamusta ka na?

Vincent: Oo, kasi kailangan ng refresher course sa trabaho namin e, babalik na sa face-to-face
‘yung opisina namin.

Harry: Buti nga sa inyo! Di pa kasi sa amin e, kaunti pa lamang ‘yung pinapapunta sa amin.

Vincent: Parang ayaw ko pa nga, kailangan kasi ‘yung bakuna para sa COVID, e ayaw ko
maglagyan ng chip. ‘Yung kaibigan ko na si Francine, pinabakunahan ‘yung anak,
naging robot tuloy. Diyos ko! Ayaw ko pa naman ‘yun!

Harry: Sis huwag ganyan for today’s vidyew! Tignan mo na lang ang video na ito para
maintindihan mo kung bakit need mo magpajusok ng vaccine!

This part will highlight the fifth part of the Big6 model which is the Synthesis

Francine: Hello, Marites! Oo ikaw, I am Francine, one of the assistant secretaries of health
forcefield implementation and coordination team for Visayas and Mindanao. Ang mga
topics natin sa video na ito ay nakasentro sa nature ng ating immune system at
vaccines, mga types of vaccines, pagwasak sa mga myths tungkol sa vaccines, at
kahalagahan nito sa pagkamit ng herd immunity.

Joanne: Sa tulong ng ating mga kapitag-pitagang sources tulad ng DOH, US and Philippine
FDA, PubMed, Center for Disease Control and Prevention, ScienceDirect at National
 Geographic, may nakalap tayong mga impormasyon na makakatulong upang
mabigyang linaw ang mga topics natin sa video na ito.

Pagkatapos nito, pumili kami ng mga mahahalagang impormasyon galing sa aming mga
sources, upang mas maintindihan ninyo ang kahalagahan ng bakuna.

Harry: YES, di robots ang depensa sa iyong katawan, at yes, marami sila, tinatawag itong
‘immune system’ for a reason!

Ang immune system ay nagbibigay ng non-specific at specific defense laban sa mga

pathogens, ito ay tinataglay ng iba’t ibang mga linya ng depensa at makapagbigay ng
responses by cellular and humoral mechanisms. Ang paglusob ng mga pathogens, o
higit pa ang SARS-CoV-2, ay tinatawag na “impeksyon” at ito ang maging-sanhi ng
pagkakasakit.

Joanne: Yes naman po, Miss Marites! Alamin naman natin kung paano rumeresponde ang
ating immune system sa mga pathogens, kagaya ng bacteria, fungus, at virus, na
maaaring makapagloob sa katawan. Gayunpaman, gumagawa ang immune system ng
mga antibodies na mula sa reaksyon ng immune system sa pathogens at gumagawa ng
isang antigen para sa spesifik na pathogen.

Joanne:Kaya nga naman tinatandaan ito kung paano labanan ang pathogens ng ating immune
system sa pamamagitan ng memory T-lymphocytes at B-lymphocytes for future
purposes!

Harry: Yaas! Ang mga ito ay ginagamit ng vaccine para labanan ang mas higit pa na mga
threats! Ang mga vaccine ay dinesenyo para ma-stimulate ang effector mechanism that
is known to be effective from infection and the immune response itself at gamit ang
memory T-lymphocytes at B-lymphocytes sa pamamagitan ng iba’t ibang paraan.

Vincent: Alam niyo ba na may iba’t-ibang uri ng vaccine at nagkakaiba sila sa paraan ng
pag-atake nito sa ating katawan. Sa kasalukuyan, meron tayong 5 types of vaccines at
lahat sila ay nagtataglay ng adjuvant that boosts their immunogenicity.

Una sa listahan ang mga live attenuated virus vaccines, they are prepared from
weakened pathogens where the virulence indicated by the harmfulness of the disease is
considerably reduced.

Ikalawa ay ang mga protein subunit vaccines wherein they do not contain live
components of a pathogen.

Ikatlo ay ang mga inactivated virus vaccines that are usually made by exposure of
virulent virus to chemical or physical agents.
 Ang ikaapat na uri ng vaccine ay tinatawag nating viral vector vaccines tulad ng johnson
& johnson janssen wherein scientists use a modified version of a virus na iba sa
tinatarget na virus upang ma-deliver ang mga mahahalagang instructions sa ating cells.

Panghuli, mayroon tayong mga mRNA vaccines tulad ng pfizer at moderna wherein they
use an mRNA created in a laboratory to teach our cells paano gumawa ng protein o
gumawa ng isang piraso ng protein that can trigger an immune response inside our
bodies.

Francine: Now, Why don’t we start debunking the different myths about covid 19? Tulad lamang
ng:

Vincent: Ang mga sangkap raw sa mga Covid-19 vaccines ay delikado sa ating katawan.

Francine: Well actually, mali ito since vaccine is a tiny weakened non-dangerous fragment of
the organism and includes parts of the antigen, where it does not contain ingredients like
preservatives, antibiotics, medicines, latex, or metals.

Vincent: Hmm, paano naman ang sinasabi nila na delikado raw ang side effects na dinadala ng
mga vaccines, dala na rito ang sinasabi nila that taking the vaccine can give you
COVID-19.

Francine: No no no. While many people do not have reactions after vaccination, it is normal if
you do. It does not mean you have the COVID-19 infection. It is an indicator that your
immune system is responding to the vaccine. At mali rin ang sinasabi nila that the
vaccine can give you COVID-19 since the vaccine can only help fight the virus.

Vincent: Well, I also heard that these vaccines can alter your DNA.

Francine: Mali again! COVID-19 vaccines cannot alter your DNA as the body discards
unneeded information that the cell no longer needs once it produces an immune
response.

Vincent: Paano naman ang sabi nila na hindi dw vaccine ang mRNA?

Francine: Well actually, the mRNA is considered as a vaccine. Although it is new, the mRNA in
the vaccines teaches the cells how to make copies of the spike protein, wherein if you
are exposed to the real virus later, your body will recognize it and know what to do to
protect you.

Vincent: Surely totoo na ang nakita ko na may microchips na dinadala ang vaccine.
Francine: Well, The COVID-19 vaccine does not contain microchips. The vaccine works by
stimulating your immune system to produce antibodies, exactly like it would if you were
exposed to the disease.

Joanne: Tama yan! Kaya, one of the community's goals is to achieve herd immunity. Ang ibig
sabihin ng Herd Immunity or ang tinatawag na population immunity ay kung hindi halos
lahat, ay marami sa atin ay may proteksyon sa isang nakakahawang sakit. Ibig sabihin,
kung halos lahat ay may bakuna, the likelihood of someone who will meet an infected
person is small, halos lahat ng maeencounter niya ay yung mga taong immuned at
susceptible.

EXTRO
This will highlight the last part of the Big6 model which is the evaluation.

Vincent: Ay tama nga naman, mars no, napaka-reliable naman ng mga sources mo. Lubos
kong naintindihan ang tulong na ibinibigay ng mga vaccines at alam ko na ngayon kung
bakit mahalaga na lahat tayo ay magpabakuna.

Harry: Dasurv mo mars ng isang masigabong palakpak! Kaya go na sa nearest health center at
magpabakuna ka na!
