Introduction
The purpose of this work is to have a general knowledge about the strategy management
course that we will develop during this period, where different topics will be covered that will
allow us to achieve the objectives of the course, and thus be able to develop it satisfactorily
and in English as a strategy of university learning for a second language.

General
Recognize the themes of the course and how it will be developed in another language such
as English, interacting in the different spaces of the virtual classroom.
Specific
Recognize all the spaces that our classroom has and the different tools of synchronous
communication with our tutor and classmates.
Delve into the topics of the course by reading an article and interpreting basic concepts for
the development of the topics.

¿What is the main activity of Xerox and how is behaving the market?
The main activity of xerox is the printing directed to many markets through tools and
support to be able to print documents, advertising, brands, packaging, etc. This company has
had a behavior in recent years of reduction of its income for which it is facing certain
economic problems with its cash flow, which has led it to start looking for strategies to have a
better cash flow and improve its income annual, aiming to reinvent itself.
¿Why do you think Xerox implemented retrenchment strategy?
Because Xerox began to not be at the forefront, and the digitization produced by the
technological revolution caused its market to begin to shrink, this led executives to seek new
strategies to minimize losses and seek new investors, within which the reduction of expenses
and costs to obtain a better cash flow while the new plans will begin to work and it can
compete with the market, which changed for them and their capital reduced considerably, for
which their actions also were affected.
¿What are the main concepts describe of the strategic management developed in Xerox?
Xerox executives based on the change of corporate culture to avoid inertia began to make
a series of decisions by analyzing quantitative information from previous years, which
allowed them to shape different strategies to recover the company and improve the flow of
box, making it competitive within the market.
¿What is the importance of outlining the company´s strategy and plans?

It is very important to delineate the plans and strategies of a company because from this a
whole production process is developed where the economic and the administrative are mixed
to have a competitive company within the market, and an analysis of the information
provided out by the results of the strategies, in order to apply continuous improvement and
make a profitable company, without forgetting that these decisions must be made on time and
thinking that companies must adapt to change especially in these times where globalization
makes companies more creative to meet needs within a market.

Conclusions
Strategic management allows the identification of problems within a company, to seek
strategies for continuous improvement and make a company competitive.
Decisions-making can affect different areas of the company, where it is mainly sought to
solve problems found to be profitable a company.
Strategic management is teamwork that seeks to meet the objectives of the company
through continuous improvement.
