1. Indroduction

Recognize intellectual property protection as a key tool to develop technologic

innovation inside companies. Innovation helps change since it introduces new features and new

ideas, products, services and practices are applied to a certain activity or business with the

intention of being useful to increase productivity.


2. Objectives

 Recognize IP general concepts and processes to protect technology innovations.

 Define the problem and propose solutions based on the studied contents.

 Recognize the main concepts and processes to understand how to protect

intellectual property in Colombia, including the definition, registration processes,

fees and requirements, consolidating your findings into a creative infographic

according to the selected theme, following all the guidelines, even including name

and date.

Taking into account the results obtained in the reading of the Dane report (2019),

Technical Bulletin, Survey of Technological Development and Innovation - Manufacturing

Industry 2017-2018, we group selected the main obstacle in companies for the registration of

intellectual property.

8. Conclusions

In conclusion, intellectual property and innovation go hand in hand. For me, both

contribute to increased productivity, generating positive changes in business, by improving

existing methods or practices by introducing new processes, services or products.
