Writing number 3 - Article about transport in your City.

I choose Montevideo as a city to talk about the transports options.

The principal form of transport is public transport.
There are a lot of lines buses (bus lines) depending on the way and the distance that they
cover.
For example(,) there are some lines that depart from the farthest point of the “Ciudad
Vieja”and reach the limit between Montevideo and Canelones.
Some lines have more frequency than others, this point depends to (on) the number of
passengers who use them daily and to the distance they cover.
To use the public buses the passangers must pay the ticket, they can use the “STM” card or pay
the ticket by cash.
It´s more convenient to load the card with credits and pay the ticket with it because the ticket
cost is lower than the cost if the passenger pay (pays) it with cash.
There are bus stops all over the city and indicates wich lines stop there.
Public buses are the cheapest option to travel around the city (without taking into account
bicycles).

Another typical option of transport in Montevideo are Taxis.

Taxis are cars driven by a driver specialized in knowing the streets of the city.
Travel (to travel / travelling) by taxi is more expensive than travel by bus because the taxi has
higher costs to cover, for example gasolina (gas oil) since the cost must be amortized by fewer
persons than on the bus.
It´s a practical option since people can take a taxi on public road or asking by phone.
Another of the advantages that lead to choosing to use a taxi (even it isn´t the cheapest
option) is that the passenger ends the trip at the specific destination that requestes.
The mentioned above is on part the principal reason of why the taxi is one of the safest option
to travel, mainly at night since the person doesn´t have to walk late at night for example.

Uber is another form of transport.

It´s similar to the taxi but the mean difference is that the passenger couldn´t ask for an Uber on
the street directly, they must have the Uber app on the cellphone to ask for one.
About the cost we can day that depends of various factors, mainly on the day, the weather
conditions ( in most of the times when it rains the rate is very high since there is more
demand).

Another option is the “Remise”, it´s a prívate car and that it´s used in rather exclusive or
special situations, for example they are using by passengers that returns from a trip since they
are mainly available at the airport.
And they are also used to go and return from parties.

Bicycles and Motorcycles are also a popular way of transport in Montevideo.

In some areas there are cycle lanes so the person could circulate safely,but the truth is that
there is a lot of work to do in these topic, since in the main areas such as the centre of
Montevideo there aren´t cycle lanes.
The bicycles are the cheapest form of transport and also in many cases they are used for
delivery.
Motorcycles are a very good option to travel faster around the city and they are also used to
make delivery and documentation delivery as well.
