The session was very helpful in a way that it gives information on how to
adapt with the new normal way of teaching because of the pandemic we currently
experience.
On the first topic of the session, I learned about the different learning
modalities that can be adopted by the school. It was discussed clearly on how these
modalities should be implemented and was explained clearly the roles of the
parents and the teachers to on how to facilitate learning amidst this pandemic.
Mrs. Ma. Lorelie M. De Guzman also presented to us the process of crafting
individual learning plan, class program and the individual learning monitoring tool
which was the second set of topics for this LAC session. This challenge me as an
educator in this new set up caused by the pandemic and this will never stop me
from learning on how deliver and continue educating our learners.
Even if here was no choice for us teachers not to do our duties and
responsibilities, I realized that at least we could be flexible and resilient on the
situation. Also we learn and will continue learning on how to adapt and deal with
what are expected from us teachers.

Mrs. Ma. Lorelie M. De Guzman discusses to the teachers regarding the Individual
Learning Plan, Class Program and Individual Learning Monitoring Tool .
Albert Einstein said: "Not everything that can be measured is important, and not
everything that is important can be measured."
As teachers there is a need for us to attend in the midyear performance reviews
as a means to discuss with school head the progress on goals and performance to date.
It is an avenue to check the accomplishments of individual that contribute in the
progress of an organization. Feedbacks were given to eliminate possible barriers that
may hamper individual performances, adjust goals if organizational or departmental
needs have changed, and exchange ideas to achieve targets of individual and as an
organization.
MPRE activity was also very important because we were given updates on the
guidelines of the work from home scheme. Teachers have ask questions to clarify
things on the issued Division Memo regarding the mechanism of the alternative work
from home scheme due to Covid 19. The process of crafting the LDM2 for Teachers
Portfolio was also discussed in detail. The Weekly Home Learning Plan was discussed
also and all teachers are instructed to adopt the template and submit to the one
designated to check.
We were given a chance to express some concerns that were given resolutions
through the sharing of ideas among the teachers. Overall, I am happy that with the
MPRE 2020, we were able to review how are we adjusting with the new normal set up
of education brought by COVID 19.

The Virtual INSET 2021 from Day 1-5 was indeed helpful and
informative. It gives me opportunity to grow professionaly in a way that we
were updated in the new norm. It also helped me gain more knowledeg in
the use of ICT and be more digitally equipped. Although I know the
seminar will require loads of work, I still wanted to take it and I did not
regret my choice.
Variety of tasks and topics were given on the seminar such as video
editing techniques, poster design, mobile apps, people puzzle and the like.
These provided me with a new and different insight as teacher in coping up
with the new norm of education. I am grateful for this virtual seminar since
I learned how they are similar and how they are different from each other.
I also became aware of the particular advantages of each and I even
learned about some more specific tools that a teacher could use.
Even though the idea of online virtual seminar is a bit boring still I
was able to manage and work on what are to be submitted and required to
do. It was a fruitful week for me because of the different inputs that can
be applied as we continue performing our duties and responsibilities
especially in this time of pandemic.

NARRATIVE REPORT
On School-based Learning Action Cell
The event was steered by its host, Ms. Razzel Joy Alvarez and was formally
unwrapped by a prayer tailed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem through
Power point presentations. The principal himself, Mr. Tito Tuquib, delivered his
welcome speech and rationale for conducting the Learning Action Cell.
In order to prepare the school, its personnel and students, Mrs. Irose Pahila, the
Science Coordinator, conveyed her presentation of various distance learning modalities
and utilization of the self-learning modules. Distance learning, as defined, is a learning
delivery modality where learning takes place between the teacher and the learners who
are geographically remote from each other during instruction. Likewise, learners may ask
for assistance from the teacher via email, telephone, text message/instant messaging, etc.
Parents or any member of the family, on the other hand, may serve as a guide or para-
teachers to learners at home as education becomes a shared activity; hence, the parents,
the community are asked to join on this noble effort.
In the event that students don’t understand a lesson, remedial tasks should be given.
The objective of remedial teaching is to give additional help to students who, for one
reason or another, have fallen behind the rest of the class in any subject.
More so, teachers are required to formulate the Learning Plan that is anchored to the
Most Essential Learning Competencies as part of the department's response to develop
resilient education systems that aims to focus instruction on the “most essential and
indispensable” competencies. Further, most MELCs shall serve as a primary reference of
all schools, Schools Divisions, and Regional Offices in determining and
implementing learning delivery approaches that are suited to the local context and
diversity of learners while adapting to the challenges caused by COVID-19.
Further, self-learning modules will be released and retrieved on pre-set dates which
the school also assured that the safety and health of teachers and personnel will be its top
priority. Teachers are required to follow the existing work arrangement and health
protocols.
The next discussant, Mrs. Lorelie de Guzman, English Coordinator, presented the
Instructional Learning Plan, Class Program and Individual Monitoring Tool. A learning
plan is a comprehensive, customizable, multi-day plan for instruction and assessment.
Today's teachers need to differentiate instruction and connect it to learning outcomes. She
emphasized the importance of giving feedbacks to students, making the parents or
guardians aware of the academic progress of their children. Teachers also have to decide
on the effectiveness of the learning modality adopted for the learners as well as to guide
them in adjusting learning content and tasks.
The latter paved way for the participants to engage in a short group activity where
they were asked to make their own Individual Monitoring Tool and presented their
outputs before the open audience. The participants learned how to organize and make
their own monitoring tool and plan.
The teachers’ motivation to actively participate in the Learning Action Cell is not
only contingent to compliance or for CPD units but as their self-commitment to
continually improve themselves to contribute to the achievement of DepEd’s vision,
mission, and goals.
