Program Title: Exploring Tomorrow: Career Guidance of Communal Elementary School

Program Goals:

 Introduce students to a variety of careers and industries.

 Help students identify their interests and talents.
 Foster a growth mindset and encourage goal-setting.
 Build communication and teamwork skills.
Program Components:
1. Career Exploration Workshops (Grade 3-5):

 Invite guest speakers (parents, community members, or professionals) to share their careers and
experiences.
 Organize hands-on activities related to various professions (e.g., science experiments, art projects,
mock trials).
 Provide age-appropriate books and resources about different careers.
 Encourage students to ask questions and engage in discussions after each workshop.
2. Interest Assessment (Grade 4):

 Administer simple interest and personality assessments (e.g., career interest surveys, "What's Your
Dream Job" activities).
 Discuss the results with students, highlighting their strengths and interests.
 Connect these interests to potential careers.
3. Career Day (Grade 5):

 Organize a school-wide career day event where students can dress up as their dream career and
interact with volunteers from various professions.
 Set up interactive booths or stations representing different jobs.
 Encourage students to ask questions and gather information about different careers.
4. Career-Related Projects (Grade 4-5):

 Assign students a career-related research project where they choose a profession to learn more about.
 Have students present their findings to the class, fostering public speaking skills.
 Encourage creativity by incorporating multimedia elements (e.g., posters, presentations).

5. Goal Setting and Future Planning (Grade 5):

 Help students create simple action plans for their future, emphasizing steps they can take now, such as
studying, volunteering, or practicing skills.
6. Mentoring Program (Optional):

 Pair students with mentors from the community or older middle or high school students who can provide
guidance and support.
 Regular meetings to discuss career interests, set goals, and track progress.
7. Parent Involvement:

 Host parent workshops to involve families in the career exploration process.

 Provide resources and guidance for parents to support their child's interests and aspirations.
8. Reflection and Evaluation:

 Encourage students to reflect on what they've learned throughout the program.

 Collect feedback from students, teachers, and parents to evaluate the program's effectiveness and
make improvements.
9. Resources:

 Develop a resource library with books, videos, and websites related to careers and education.
 Maintain a list of local professionals willing to participate in workshops or career day events.
10. Follow-up in Middle School:
- Ensure a smooth transition by sharing information and assessments with middle school counselors and
teachers.
- Encourage students to continue exploring their interests and goals.
