RATIONALE

BSP HUB
DO 49, S. 2007 ON REVITALIZING BOY SCOUTING IN SCHOOLS, stated that Scouting with

the Boy Scouts of the Philippines is an effective program in the leadership and value formation of every

child. The main objective of this program is consistent with the Department of Education’s mission to

develop boys and young men into well-rounded individuals with exemplary character worth the

emulation of schoolchildren. The BSP has, so far, consistently produced leaders and models who are

true adherents to the Scout Oath and Law.

That is why, the Department of Education are urged to actively contribute in the

development and implementation of quality scouting program. All DepED officials, personnel and

schoolchildren are advised to participate in the activities of Scouting, such as jamborees, camps,

competitions, trainings and conferences in school, division, regional, national and international levels,

subject to existing DepED policies, rules and regulations.

In line with this, Apolonio R. Fuentes Sr., Elementary School constructed BSP HUB to

give awareness on the students, teachers, and parents on the importance of BSP in lives of individual.

In connection, the school initiated to tap and seek help to Local Government Units

(LGU’s), private sectors, alumni, and other external stakeholders in the gathering of materials to be

used in constructing the said project (paint, paint brushes, core sand, used tires, flowers, and cement).
