Purpose
This Work instruction describes the Stepper Motor Calibration procedure (at the customer's site).
Caution
The motor data is stored in the DB-Hirarchy file which also contains all the patients' information.
At the beginning of the procedure you will prepare a backup DB-Hirarchy file that can be used in case of a problem.
The source DB-Hirarchy should be copied from the Master PC to the Salve PC.
The calibration procedure is done from the Slave PC and then the file is copied back to the Master PC.
Safety
No special safety instructions.
Required tools
No work tools are required.

Procedure
1. Go to My Computer:
2. Go to directory: E:\SRC\D-SPECT\Database:

3. Right click on DB_Hirarchy.mdb and choose Copy:
4. Right click on an empty space in the folder and choose Paste:

You have now created a backup copy of the DB_Hirarchy file. This copy will be used in case of a problem!
Rename: DB_Hirarchy – Copy.mdb, to: DB_Hirarchy – Today’s Date.mdb.
Important comment: If the system is a D-Spect SOC (Slave on Chip) - please proceed directly to step # 22.
5. Close the open window & press the start button,

Choose Remote Desktop Connection:
Connect to the following IP Address 21.0.1.200:

6. Remote connect to the slave PC:
7. Log in using the following information:

User name: machine (small letters) ; Password: spectrum (small letters).
8. From the Slave, press start & choose My Computer:
9. Double click E on MASTER-SW-XXXXX:

Notes
• In case you do not see the E-Drive, perform the following steps.
• In case you see the E-Drive, go directly to step 16.
10. From the Master PC press the start and click on Remote Desktop Connection:
11. Connect to the following IP 21.0.1.200:

12. Select Options (at the Remote Desktop connection):
13. Click on Local resources & then click More:

14. Check the Drives box and click OK:

15. Click Connect:
16. From the Slave PC go to the Master PC: E:\SRC\D-SPECT\Database.

17. Right click on: DB_Hirarchy and choose Copy:

18. On the Slave Press start & choose My Computer:
19. Go to directory: C:\SRC\D-SPECT\Database:
20. Right click on the empty space in the folder and choose Paste:

21. Choose Yes to confirm replacement of the DB_Hirarchy file:
You have now copied the DB_Hirarchy file from the Master PC to the Slave PC!

22. Close the window & on the desktop double click on the Calibration Tools:
Important notes
• If the system is D-Spect SOC- Exit from the DSpect background service:
• On the D-Spect SOC- there’s no Slave. The Calibration Tools to be operated by the following route: E:\SRC\D-
SPECT\LAST_OUTPUT_RELEASE\CALIBRATION TOLLS.EXE.
23. The next screen appears:

24. Press Initialize HW.

(The button turns from Gray to Pink and after a while it turns back to Gray):

Important Note: While opening the Calibration Tools SW from the Master Explore, Check Local (not Remote),
before pressing initialize!
25. Click Testing & then Stepper Motors Testing & then Motor Encoder Calibration:
26. Click the upper Select csv file:

Note: This is the Encoder Calibration Motor File.
27. In the OutPut_Release_x.x.x.x, choose StepperCalibrationScanPattern & click Open:
Note: The full path is: C:\SRC\D-SPECT\OutPut_Release_x.x.x.x.
28. Click the lower Select csv file:

Note: This is the Encoder Calibration Result File.
29. Save the new file as CalibrationresultsFile(x+1):
Note: x is the current version.

Example: if the current version is 3 the current file name to be CalibrationresultsFile3 the new file name will
to be CalibrationresultsFile4.

30. Click on Run Encoders Calibration:

Notes
• The text changes from Run Encoders Calibration to Abort Encoders Calibration and the calibration
process is running.
• The Calibration process is finished once it reaches 99%:
31. Click on Testing and then on Stepper Motor Testing and then on Motor Write Registers:
32. Verify that Use File for Setting is checked and click on Save Setting:

33. Save the file as StepperMotorSetting:

Notes
• The file is being saved in the same name as the old file.
• The old file is being overwritten by the new one.

34. Confirm the replacement of the old file with the new one:
35. Press OK to confirm:

36. Uncheck Use File for Setting and click on Save Setting:

Note: You will not receive any confirmation that the file has been saved!
37. Exit from the Calibration tools SW.

Important note

If the system is D-Spect SOC (Slave on Chip) - you done!
38. From the Slave PC click on Start and then click My Computer:
39. Go to: C:\SRC\D-SPECT\Database, left click on DB_Hirarchy and choose Copy:
40. From the Slave PC go to the Master PC: E:\SRC\D-SPECT\Database.
41. Right click on the empty space in the folder and choose Paste:

42. Choose Yes to confirm replacement of the DB_Hirarchy file:
You have now copied the DB_Hirarchy file from the Slave PC back to the Master PC!
43. The Calibration procedure in now finished.

40. From the Slave PC go to the Master PC: E:\SRC\D-SPECT\Database.

42. Choose Yes to confirm replacement of the DB_Hirarchy file:

43. The Calibration procedure in now finished.
