Activity 4: Art Analysis

Life of the Cordillerans is a painting depicts that the where the cordilleran live which is
we can see in the painting itself because it is being emphasize were you can see the lines that
forms the rice terraces. The painter uses different components of art to emphasize different
parts of the painting like using lines that are curved. The painter didn’t use such colors that are
bright to emphasize the clean and green nature of cordilleran fields. The mixture of dark and
light color of black and brown emphasize the structure of the nature like the trees. You can see
the strokes of the painter on how he uses repeated lines, dot, and curves to create the vibe of
living in cordillera and most especially in the field.

The spaces he uses in between the different things like the space in between the trees
and the field to emphasize it makes it more appealing. The 3d effect of painting makes like the
terraces makes it more realistic to view. The technique he uses to create and to bring out the
vibe of the painting were it relaxes the viewers too. We can clearly feel the roughness and the
smoothness of painting because some parts are dark and light because of the strokes he uses.
In conclusion, the painting successfully brings out the essence of the theme he uses because
the elements and principle he uses in the making of it because we can feel the emotion it brings
out and we can imagine the “Life of the Cordillerans”.
