Ang orasan ay may dalawang kamay, ang mahabang


kamay at maiksing kamay. Ang mahabang kamay ay
nagsasabi ng minuto at ang maiksing kamay ang
nagsasabi ng oras. Ang orasan ay may bilang mula isa
hanggang labindalawa at ang mga bilang na ito ang
nagsasaad ng oras.

Tandaan na sa pagbabasa ng oras, unahing basahin ang


numero kung saan nakaturo ang maiksing kamay at
sunod na basahin kung saang numero nakaturo ang
mahabang kamay. Kapag ang mahabang kamay ay
nakaturo na sa bilang labindalawa, ang orasan ay
nakabuo na ng isang buong oras.
