Skills and personality
• Practical activity
• Go to https://www.patrickbetdavid.com/wp-
content/uploads/2015/10/4-Personality-Types.pdf
• Learn about each personality individually
• Establish the personality type of each member of your
team, by discussing, debating and concluding in your
team
• You need a bit of each in your team!
• Based on the team’s skills and personalities,
assign a suitable task to each team member accordingly
2. Vision vs money

Based on what your team-mate would look for, find the right role/position for
her/him
3. At least two options

If you only have one option wrt one person’s role,

all the burden could not be split, distributed,
commented, simplified
(consider the skills & personality))
4. Do not relax
What looks right might turn into something that you
didn’t think about or you didn’t expect.
Do not be fooled by yourself!
5. Raise the standards
• Do what needed

And

• … move on
6. Common set of values & principles
• Hard work
• Care for your health… work-life balance
• Treat people right
• Mutual appreciation and respect
• Say please/thank you
• Trust
• Friendship

Do not compromise the important things

7. Long term plan & test
• Look for the long-term vs short-term thinker
• Test your team under various situations s.t. they can
handle any type of crisis
8. Be all IN!
• Believers always have a place
• Be sure everybody is involved
• Be careful with how the team is evolving (slide 14)
• Keep an eye open to identify what might be wrong with your team
(slide 15)
9. Look for the well-being of the team
• Invest in social relations & communication development
• (Train employees for the skills needed for collaboration): look for
and take care about common goals, the reason behind the team’s
existence, the methods used to resolve conflicts, the importance of
diversification and program management abilities.
• Encourage team events
10. Spot the things that might do/be wrong
• Lack of commitment - either to the other team members or to the project itself
• Shortage of decision making
• Incapacity to resolve conflicts or find solutions as a group, which might lead to
diminished performance.
• Inadequate communication s.t. members are unable to reach an understanding
• Absence of creativity - limited talents, limited innovation and possibly wasted
opportunities.
• There are no effective leadership skills. Great teamwork cannot be achieved
without proper management. Leaders must know what to do and how, so the
team can work.
