I. RATIONALE
Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 32, s. 2017, DepEd Gender-Responsive Basic Education
Policy in line with its Gender and Development mandate as stipulated in the 1987 Philippine
Constitution. Ano Elementary School is committed to promoting the GAD’s main advocacy,
the development of personnel to achieve harmony and unity in the workplace. Knowing
thyself and be well-acquainted with it, thus provides opportunities to broaden an
individual’s capacity to do productive and satisfying work and a blessing to others in the
workplace.

III.SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Following DepEd Order no. 63, s. 2012—Guidelines on the Preparation of
Gender and Development ( GAD ) Utilization of GAD Budgets and Submission of
Accomplishment Reports and DepEd Order No. 27, s. 2013– Guidelines on the
Establishment of Gender and Development (GAD ) Focal Point System ( GFPS ), a GAD
Training entitled “GAD – A WAY OF PROTECTING OUR LOVE ONES & ENSURING
MUTUAL RESPECT OF MEN AND WOMEN IN THE WORKPLACE”  for all teaching and
non-teaching of Ano Elementary School was conducted last December 6, 2021. The
training was done virtually through the Messenger Room. The program commenced at
8 a.m. Mrs. Melba F. Padilla, Teacher III, gave her welcoming remarks. Mrs. Amy.
Munoz presented the participants in this training. An inspirational message was given
by our PSDS, Dr. Alejandro D. Imus. 
         The speakers of the aforementioned training were Mrs. Edna C. Roque, Principal
II, her topic was Achieving Harmony and Unity in the Workplace, Mrs. Marilou M.
Dulay, Teacher III, her topic was Prevention of Violence Against Women and Children,
Mrs. Elvira Q. Tamondong, Teacher II, RA 9262 Legal Basis, Mrs. Liwliwa N. Sales,

Teacher III, Legislation and Laws, Mrs. Jeanny M. Fernandez, SPET 2, Emotional
Intelligence and Innovation, essential skills in the Workplace, and Mrs. Margie M.
Rodriguez, MT-1, Ethics of Teachers in the Workplace.
         The main goal of the said training was to update teachers about the gender-
related issues and concerns of men and women in society, particularly in school. The
discussion also focused on the Legal Mandates and Basis and Ethics in a Workplace.
Various examples were given to illustrate different topics. Participants were
encouraged to give suggestions, reactions, and opinions about the topics discussed.
The participants are filled with knowledge, skills, and competencies that will be used in
promoting Gender Awareness, Equality, and Sensitivity.
