Authentic Assessment Strategy
Learning Competency: Retell or re-read familiar storybooks to other children,
Sequence a series of events in a literary selection listened, Compare stories,
identifying common themes, characters and contribute to discussions.
I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the pupils are able to:
1.Arrange story according to events.
2. Perform the scene base on the story read.
3. Express the values learned from the story.
II. Subject Matter
Topic: Sequencing Events
Reference: English II Learning Material, Lesson 8, pp.228
Materials: Audio-visual, Pictures of events, chalk

Video Presentation of the story “The Three Little Pigs”

2. Analysis ( Comprehension Question )

3. Abstraction
Retell the story that titled ” NO SMILES TODAY ” through
pictures.

4. Application
The class will be divided into 3, each group has their own task
to accomplish.
• Group I – The Artist:
Color the picture of events given by the teacher that happened
in the story and arrange it Chronologically according to first that
happened until last.

• Group 2 – Character Analyzer:


Introduce one by one the character in the story and the Moral
Values that they learned from them.
• Group 3 – The Predicter:
Let them act what will happen to the three brothers if they do not
UNITY and STRENGHT to face the bad Wolf.

IV-Evaluation

Direction: With same Group,Arrange the rumbled pictures given to you


according to what happened first until last.
Group I – Arrange the pictures of the process of Good tooth brushing.
Group 2- Arrange the picture of Proper hand Washing.

Group 3 – Arrange the pictures of Proper taking a bath every morning.

IV. Assignment
Direction: Look for a recipe of your favourite food.Copy the process on how to
cook the food.
