The College of Sciences celebrated its
annual Science month celebration with a
theme of “Science for the People: Enabling
Technologies for sustainable Development”
A commemorative was held last September
16, 2019 infront of the College of Sciences
building.
University President Dr. Ramon Docto,
Vice-President for Academic Affairs(VPAA)
Dr. Eva M. Jimenez, Dean of the College of
Sciences Dr.Carmencita Palanca, attended
during the opening program. The celebration
was also highlighted with presentation and
talent numbers from selected students from
the college.
The main purpose of the program is
to give general awareness regarding with
environment. Anticipating to raise awareness
in everyone to have the sense of responsibility
in doing the right thing engaging themselves
with mother nature. Through seminars such
as: Tubataha, Kathala, Ear thquake Drill, Fire
Drill, Basic Life suppor t training, Garden
Beautification, Tree planting, which will awaken
the students to open their minds and reflect
how impor tant it is.

He added. “Mas okay din na combination
ng dalawa. Kung seminars more on listening,
pag may games more on interaction, parang
mas magiging lively yung celebration.” He
suggested.

based on the evaluators visit held last October 25,2019.
During such visit the evaluators have inspected the
the ISo facilities, and its cleanliness, as well as classroom instructor.

A perfect example of an environmental
issue that is currently unfolding in the
municipality of Narra. The residents, especially
the students, teachers and business owners,
have collectively raised their concerns and their
protest to the project involving a coal power
plant to be established in Narra. They have
filed their protest to the Mayor, Hon Gerandy
Danao asking him to block the plans for the
construction of the 15-megawatt coal-fired
power plant.
However, DMCI Power Corporation, the
company who owns the said power plant, is
planning to begin construction and operations.
They have obtained an Environmental
Compliance Cer tificate (ECC) from the
Depar tment of Environment and Natural
Resources (DENR) last July 2019, thus allowing
them to begin anytime soon.
Industrial facilities such as power plants
are electrical power generated distributor of
energy. An example of this is a coal power
plant which produces steam by burning the

coal in a boiler. Steam is produced under high
pressure and flows into a turbine which spins a
generator to create electricity
The emissions from the coal-fired power
plants can cause serious health impacts.
According to research burning of coal produces
tiny par ticles of potentially harmful oxides. The
United States Environmental Protection Agency
has discovered that the coal-fired power
plants emit 84 of the 187 known hazardous air
pollutants. The National Toxicology Program
confirms that several of these pollutants causes
cancer. Numerous petitions regarding with this
are widely discussed: “NO TO COAL”.
The environment is at stake, resulting in
erratic weather patterns, sea level rise, and
deadly typhoons, among other climate-related
hazards. Mercury and other chemical pollutes
lakes, streams and rivers, and absorbed by the
fish. If large amount of contaminated fish is
consumed by people, it will trigger complications
in terms of health issues par ticularly in the
exposure of mercury. If mercury pollution from
combustion and human activities continue to
happen, the loss of animal habitats; the ability
of birds to migrate; and climate change, will
threaten them to extinction.
Since Philippines is a developing country, the
increase of economy rate and the booming
businesses can’t be stopped. Hence, trees
are cut down by the authorities in return of
thousands of hectares wherein buildings should
be placed at.
There is no such thing as clean coal-
-a contributor of greenhouse effect. Few
years later, we might not tolerate the global
temperature. The burning of fossil fuels
especially by coal-fired power facilities is one of
the culprits driving this climate crisis.
Learning from the experiences of the
countries and cities who already experienced
its negative effects should serve as the lesson
of how destructive and disastrous it is. Would
you willingly inhale the smoke which you believe
it was the best for all?

370 GWh.
Ayon sa pag-aaral ng Philippine
Statistics Authority, ang average electricity
consumption ng bawat tahanan ay 215
gigawatt hours per year. Ayon din sa kanila

“Hindi ako kabilang sa mga kababaihan na
may katawang pang-rampahan, o pwedeng
i-post sa Instagram, Facebook or social
media”, ito ba ang sinasabi mo sa sarili mo?
Nao-obsess ka ba sa kapwa mo na may super
sexy body? Naiisip mo ba na parang hindi ka
mahalaga dahil sa chubby ka?
Upang magkaroon ng kabuluhan ang aking
opinyon, nagsagawa ako ng interbyu mula sa
ilang kalalakihan sa ating unibersidad.
Narito ang aking mga katanungan:
1. Kung titingin ka sa isang babae,
mahalaga ba para sa iyo ang kurba ng
katawan o pagiging sexy? Bakit?
2. Ano ang mensahe mo para sa mga
kababaihang nawawalan ng tiwala sa sarili o
confidence dahil sa katawan nila.
Dave: “Hindi. Yung impor tante naman yung
personality ng isang binibini. Yes nakakaganda
pero hindi yun yung definition ng ganda para
sa akin.”
“Be yourself. Be proud of whatever you
have, whoever you are. Yes they have looks
but you have your hear t. Confidence
is your crown and wear

pangangatawan ng isang tao kasi lahat ay

makakatanggal niyan.”
“Basta maging totoo ka lang sa sarili mo.”
Tatang: “Hindi po. Kasi it’s not about the
curves, it’s their attitude. Ganun yun.”
“Wag mawalan ng tiwala sa sarili girls.
Ganun.”
Johnjohn: “Hindi po. Kasi yung sexy is for
sexual excitement but yung beauty is for
pleasing aesthetic senses.”
“Hindi naman nila kailangan mawalan
ng tiwala sa sarili kasi it will still come from
their overall personality. But if they like to do
something to their body that will make them
more confident, why not? As long as hindi
naman sumobra.”
Niel: “I prefer sexy, kasi malakas yung
dating. Oo mahalaga sya syempre. Basta
ganun.”
“Siguro, jump lang sila sa comfor t
zone nila. Hayaan lang nila yung
ibang tao na nag-judge kung sila
man ay nasaktan, pero darating
din yung araw na dapat matuto
silang maging confident sa sarili
nila. Ipakita nila na kahit ganun
sila ay kaya naman nilang
makisabay.”
Axziel: “Hindi. Kasi nasa
ugali yan e. kasi nasa babae
lang yan, depende yan sa
mindset ng babae.”
“Dapat tanggalin nila
sa mindset nila yung

thoughts, dapat
positive lang sa self-
esteem.”
Jeremy: “Opo, kasi
titingnan mo e. syempre physical,
malaking factor yan.”
“Maging totoo lang sa sarili. Pakita lang
yung totoong sya, totoong ikaw. Kasi mas
malaki yung ganda points nun para sa akin.”
Al John: “para po sa akin dagdag points
nalang yung may magandang katawan. Pero
mas mahalaga pa rin yung values at character
ng isang tao and pano sya makipag-interact
sa iba..”
Jing: “Hindi. Hiindi naman kasi nasusukat sa
anu, sa hugis ng kurba ng katawan.”
“Ano lang, think positive. Yun lang.”
Tarby: “Hindi po. Kasi kung magmamahal
ka naman, hindi naman binabasehan ang
katawan o mukha ng isang tao.”
“Wag silang mahiya. Ano lang, maging
positibo lang sila sa buhay nila na may darating
din para sa kanila.”
Matt: “Opo, para sa akin mahalaga
syempre. Kasi ano, it represent kasi ano healthy
ba sya o hindi.”
“Be confident lang all the time, kasi, as long
as wala kang ginagawang masama sa kapwa
mo.”
Pipoy: “Hindi. Kasi hindi naman basehan
yung katawan e. yung ugali naman.”
“Wag silang mahiya at mawalan ng tiwala
sa sarili kasi hindi naman yun basehan.”
Ayks: “Hindi. Dahil hindi diyan ang sukatan.”
“Wag papadala sa mga di kawalan.”
Euge: “Hindi. Ang katawan na maganda
marahil attractive ito, pero para sa akin mas
na-appreciate ko yung mga babae na may
magandang personality at may pangarap
sa buhay. Mas matimbang yung manners,
matalino, may pangarap at mabuting tao.”
“Be yourself, should have confidence.
Hindi sa shape ng katawan ang basehan ng
pagiging isang maganda, magaling. Kundi
sa kung paano mo dadalhin yung sarili mo,
tamang pakikisama at laging isipin kung ano
man ang meron ka be contented. But you
must improve and develop something in you in
order to succeed and reach your goals. Ignore
all insecurities change it into love, love for
yourself and others as well.”

As par t of the consequences imposed by University authorities,
a student from the College of Sciences, alias "Rulie", is required to
write a letter of apology, to be shared to the entire student body.
It is in this direction that the Compendium has been requested to
publish his statement of apology.

Ako po ay isang mag-aaral sa Palawan State University,
na nagkasala sa isang guro sa pag-gaya ng kanyang pirma
o signature. Ako ay sobrang nagsisisi sa kasalanang aking
nagawa.
Sana sa mga mag-aaral na makakabasa nito ay mapulutan
nyo ng aral ang nangyari sa akin at wag na wag nyong
gagawin sapagkat ito ay may kaukulang parusa pag kayo ay
nahuli at mapatunayang nang-gaya ng perma; maaari kayong
masuspende ng isang semester o mapatalsik sa paaralan.
Sobra-sobra po akong humihingi ng tawad sa guro na aking
nagawan ng kasalanan.
For the information of the Student body, alias "Rulie" has been
extended due process and was meted with the appropriate
punishment according to the proceedings and corresponding
consequences as mandated by existing University rules, regulations
and policies.
Choices
Larry Caduada Jr.
A line in the movies said: "Academic crime is met by academic
death" (1). Taken in this context, an academic crime constitutes
dishonesty, deception and other inappropriate behavior befitting
a student of the University. Academic death, in the similar context,
would refer to suspension or expulsion, thus indicating the "end" of
the academic life of a person in that given institution. While it is true
that such consequences will not hamper the individual to seek other
educational oppor tunities, it does provides a lasting impression in the
future of the said individual.
With this thought in mind, and as one of your teachers, I encourage
you to aspire higher in your pursuit of education, and to do so with
the best possible choices that you can take. As Albus Dumbledore
wisely said: "We must all face the choice between what is Right and
what is easy". The choice is ours, dear students. In so doing, please
remember that our desire as teachers, as your second parents, is to
see you survive and succeed academically and professionally. May you
remember these thoughts the next time you are working on your
assignments and exercises, or when you consider your examinations
and quizzes, or when you par ticipate in laboratory activities and
other school activities. We encourage you to aspire higher and rise
above mediocrity, which includes avoiding those choices which can
harm you academically. Again, we want you to survive academically :)
In conclusion, please take comfor t in these wise words from
Thomas S. Monson: "The choices we make determine our destiny. ...
May we ever choose the harder right instead of the easier wrong" (2).

 Merry Making Competition opens the PSU

The Palawan State University Intramurals

2019 formally began with an opening ceremony
held last September 23, 2019 at the Ramon
V. Mitra Spor ts Complex. Students from all
colleges in the main campus, as well as from
the different external campuses have come
prepared with the costumes, props, chants
and choreography.
The Palawan State University—University
Student Government are the organizers for this
year’s intramurals, with a goal to encourage
everyone to seek for unity, creativity and
spor tsmanship away the different colleges and
campuses.
Loud and proud, students united to chant
their college yell while raising their college
flags. Setting the goal higher and assuring the
recognition to achieve the 2019 Merry Making
Competition winner was their goal.
The awarding ceremonies were held at the College of Sciences students as they dance for the Merry Making competition

Pagtanggi sa libre sa Jollibee, pagkontrol
ng dami ng kanin, at maging pag-e-
ehersisyo araw-araw ay talaga namang
challenging. Dala ng impluwensya ng
iba, minsan ay napipilitan na rin tayong
magpa-sexy. Ngunit hindi baga mas maigi
kung atin munang bibigyang pansin ang
pagsusumikap na baguhin ang ating mga
di kaaya-ayang pag-uugali. Dahil sabi nga,
gaano man kaganda ang iyong mukha o
katawan kung pangit naman ang iyong
natin an gating kalusugan. Ito ang lubos
na kailangan sa pag-aaral. Kailangan
ng malusog na pangangatawan at
isipan para magawa ang maraming
requirements sa paaralan. Aanhin ang
seyksing katawan kung sakitin ka naman.
Para sa mga kalalakihan, hindi ko
naman sinasabing wag palitan ang
standard ninyo sa pagpili. Nais ko lamang
iparating na ang panlabas na kaanyuan
ay kumukupas, ngunit ang babaeng

line with the theme “Science for
the people: enabling technologies
for sustainable development”. The
very first Tubbataha seminar was
held on September 16, 2019 at the
IMC of Palawan State University
Library. Students from different
programs attentively listened
Tubbataha Reefs National
Park (TRNP) is home for many
species of diverse animals. It is
composed of two atolls namely
Nor th and South atoll which will
surely captivate one’s eyes. It is
protected by the law, TRNP Act
of 2009 (Republic Act No. 10067).
It is also a seabird sanctuary

Many people risk their lives to
protect and conserve nature. One
of these are the park rangers who
make themselves home in the
ranger station at the middle of
Sulu Sea while protecting the park
from danger such as poachers
and foreign invaders.

The TRNP is not just a

Alvin M. Relacion, a 1st year, BSIT student from the College of the
Sciences was recently recognize as the champion of the classical guitar
competition as par t of the Battle of the Band held last September 24 at
the Office of the Social and Cultural Affairs.
Although he didn’t expect the result of his par ticipation, he was
elated with the outcome.
Alvin shared his experience during his performance. He admitted
that he had a minor problem with his finger becoming numb. “Medyo
nagkaroon ako ng kaunting obstacle tulad ng madaling nangangalay
ang daliri ko,” He admitted.

and concerns that provinces face.
It aims to provide knowledge

long-term actions to problems
and to encourage youth of
our generation to be aware of
what is really happening to our
environment nowadays which is
gradually being destroyed.

The nCov is a new strain of coronavirus that has not been previously
identified in humans. The new, or “novel” coronavirus, now called 2019-
nCov or COVID-19, had not previously detected before the outbreak
was repor ted in Wuhan, China in December 31, 2019. According to
World Health Organization (WHO), infection with COVID-19 can cause
mild symptoms including sore throat, runny nose, cough, and fever. In
severe cases, it may lead to pneumonia and breathing difficulties.
COVID-19 can be transmitted from person to person. It is a
respiratory virus which spreads when came in contact with an infected
person through respiratory droplets generated when a person coughs
or sneezes or through droplets of saliva or mucus discharge from the
nose.
Prevention measures are advised by WHO to the public such as:
wear masks, frequently wash hands with soap, apply alcohol, avoid
touching your eyes, nose and mouth, and maintain social distancing at
least 1 meter.
An obvious precaution practiced by the Philippines is the wearing
of surgical mask. However, surgical masks alone does not guarantee
prevention of transmission. “Out of Stock” is what the public mostly
complain about and on worst cases, this cheap mask which was bulky

app for that. STX enter tainment released their new horror movie that
really spooked everyone. The movie’s concept focuses on an app called
“Countdown” that predicts the death of a person who downloaded it.
In the movie, a girl named Cour tney downloads the app
“Countdown”. She was later shocked when she found out that there’s
only 3 hours left for her to live. Avoiding death, she refuses to ride with
her boyfriend Evan on that night. At Cour tney’s house she noticed that
there’s a notification in her phone saying that she violated the “user’s
agreement”. After that, she was brutally killed by an unseen entity while
Evans car crashed on the spot where she should be killed.
Evan was admitted in a hospital where she met a nurse named
Quinn Harris, who currently is experiencing sexual abuse from her
perver t boss Dr. Sullivan. Quinn hears about Evan’s story where he said
that Cour tney’s murderer was the app itself and he was worried for
himself because he also downloaded it. The app says that he was going
to die on his surgery. At first, Quinn thinks that all of this wasn’t true and

Do not be skeptical. Maybe in general, we
are all witnesses of the outstanding students
coming to school despite of their special

moment wherein we reflected how blessed
we are and wondered how much courage
they need to fill themselves to make it this far.

for us, but Felip Ar t V. Docejo shared his story
that it is the least he can do. His round eyes
will surely captivate and lead you to see a view
of his soul.
He is a 1st year college student taking
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology
(BSIT) and though he said it was never easy
but, it was really his preferred course. Despite
all the odds to suppor t his studies and even
if the facilities weren’t enough, he can do
programming only by using his phone. He
even thought that IT was all about animation,
games and such but he has seen more.
One of his hobbies is, unsurprisingly, playing
mobile games but one thing that surprise
us was, he can do also ar tworks through
manifesting his own version of car toon
characters from scratch.
Inspired and driven by his family, he is
determined to finish his studies and to inspire
more people to live the life they have.
“Disability is not a hindrance to reach my
dream and have education” he said. Despite of
his condition named as Or thopedic disability;
he can manage to go to school even if it’s
exhausting.

parents to live. When you only have one wish

Despite in his condition: Dwarfism, during
in his spare time, he was helping his aunt in
caretaking their business and also loading fruits
in a night shift. He is now a 2nd year student
from BSIT where he also makes sure to help

There is no question in terms of difficulty
in life but for him he needed it to make an
extra effor t in harmony--to double the effor t
walking and get used to it. Although he was
not saved from all the bully eyes and mouth
that surrounds him, Ronald kept on putting it
aside. He just emphasized that if he will allow
those words to matter it will only make things
worse, so he just learned to ignore negativity
from his life. He also stretched the reason that
those people who brings blue to his life, has
nothing to do goodness. Therefore, he always
making sure that negative vibe will just pass
away. He likely to remind everyone that just
mind your own business--just let them be.
Allow them to be themselves without saying

He was almost lost in the current of life
and thankfully found himself dancing along the
music of hope. Dancing saved him. He almost
missed his life’s track but because through
the people beside him--most impor tantly his
mother, he was saved. Along with his story,
Ronald concluded that he was a mama’s boy.
Raised in a tough life, Ronald has the
eagerness to continue the fight, although it
will be difficult for him. People like him with

According to his story, since grade 8, he
star ted receiving sponsorship from someone
(which he didn’t named) and the only thing
he does in return was to show the copy of his
grades. Whenever he had an almost failing
grade, shyness filling his system, but according
to his sponsor, as long as he passed, its fine.
And then, when the right time comes if he
finishes his degree, he will also do the same
thing where his sponsor did to him. And it was
also the same thing he wanted in the first
place--to help.
His motivational message was about
keep moving forward. Just keep on pushing
until something happens. And also, one of
his treasured moment was about keeping his
promises. He has this “one-word policy” thing
he believe in.
He also stretched about his condition that

bag gold medals in
Taekwondo

Two students from the College of Sciences have bagged gold medals
last September 24, 2019 at the Performing Ar ts Center. Ric Daniel
Pasoquen, BSIT and Henry Moragriega, BSBIO, have brought along to
the College through these excellent feet in the field of Taekwondo.
In the Men’s Heavy Weight division, Mr. Moragriega was declared
as the winner against Mr. Reniel Mark Sabinet from CCRD-South.
Meanwhile, for the Men’s Fly Weight division, Mr. Ric Pasoquen won in
a match versus Mr. Ramon Bendico CCRD-Nor th.
The thrill of the journey to secure the championship has always been
present. Mr. Pasoquen, when asked about his thoughts, have shared:
“Mahirap siya lalo na sa height difference naming ng kalaban kp sa
CCRD-Nor th. Hindi ako masyadong makapuntos sa kanya sa head,
halos lahat ng tama ko ay sa body par ts lang. Ang isa pang kalaban
ko ay stamina”.
Despite such challenges, it has been their dream to succeed and
bring the glory and honor to the College. “Siyempre isang karangalan
na isa ako sa mga athletes na nakapag uwi ng gold para sa CS”, Mr.
Pasoquen concluded.

Sepak Takraw
Boys take
third place

Sepak Takraw Boys of College of Sciences took the third place and
received bronze medals during the Palawan State University Intramural
meet. The event was held at Mendoza Park, Puer to Princesa City. The
team gave their best and took the 3rd place of the Intramural meet.
The team of the College of Sciences for Sepak Takraw practiced
every afternoon to prepare for the intramural meet and to strengthen
their team even as they have lots of school works. They seek to practice
and level up so that they can compete in good condition.

The College of Science Chess teams have
dominated the Chess tournament during the
Intramural Meet last September 25, 2019, held at the
Palawan State University library. The Alchemists have
moved their best pieces in an effor t to overwhelm
their opponents. In doing so, they have secured
victories in the different categories, acquiring a total
of six medals.
In the Women’s Category, Ms. Jennyrose Tambal
snatched a gold medal, while Ms. Myra Magbanua
and Ms. Ma. Victoria Nobleza gained silver medal.
Ms. Mary Angeli Buruangan have bagged a bronze
medal. In the overall ranking, the CS Women Chess
team have won gold place, first for overall ranking.
In the Men’s category, Mr. Ruy Aniversario brought
home a gold medal, Mr. Michael Gabriele Cay proudly
won a silver medal. This brought the CS men chess
team to second place in overall ranking. Winning a
silver medal for this achievement.

College of Sciences Alchemist’s Pride

It’s another victorious year for the College of Sciences, home of the
Mighty Alchemist for this year’s annual celebration of PSU Intramural
meet. The college bagged 11 golds, 7 silver, and 13 bronze putting
them number 7th for the overall ranking of the competition. This event
is par ticipated by 8 different colleges including the Laboratory High
School and chosen athletes from CCRD Nor th, South, and Cuyo.
The CS athletics team indeed is one of the alchemist’s pride as they
took 2 golds and 1 silver for this year’s athletics competition. The said
competition was held at Ramon V. Mitra Spor ts Complex on September
23-27,2019.
Maverick Labrador a 1st Year BS Environmental Science student
claimed the gold for men’s Triple Jump and Silver for the men’s long
jump competition while Kenneth Montilla who is also a 1st year BS
Environmental Science student snatched the gold for men’s javelin
throw competition.
Labrador won with a hilarious score of 12.48 meters for the Triple
Jump competition and 5.96 meters for the Long Jump competition.
Montilla also shocked his opponents with an outstanding score of 42
meters for the men’s javelin throw competition.
Both of them are shifters from College of Engineering and
Architectures Technology where they spend their athletics career for the
past few years, but this doesn’t mean they won’t do their best for the
team.“Hindi ko pinagsisisihan na naglalaro kami para sa CS. Mababait
ang mga taga CS kaya wala akong naging problema” Montilla says.
“Hindi namin to magagawa kung walang supor ta galling sa mga

manage to kill the assassins sent after them, learning the agency wants
them both dead.
Escaping to Colombia with a former colleague Baron, Henry and
Danny hide at Baron’s home and plan to meet with Yuri for fur ther
options. Meanwhile, Clay dispatches his top assassin to kill Henry. Fighting
him off, Henry realizes the assassin bears an uncanny resemblance to
himself as a young man, with a similar skill set. When the injured assassin
arrives at a safe house, he is revealed to be Clay’s adopted “son” Junior.
Although he is curious about his similarities to Henry, Junior is ordered
to finish the job.
Henry is also troubled by his similarities to the assassin, whom Danny
suggests might be his child despite Henry’s denials. Testing DNA samples
recovered from Junior, Danny discovers that his and Henry’s DNA are
identical – Junior is Henry’s younger clone. Desperate for answers, Henry
meets Yuri in Hungary and learns of the cloning project and that the man
he killed was one of the project’s scientists. Having designed a method to
produce clones devoid of pain or emotion, the scientist tried to leave the
project and was killed upon being discovered.
To try to get Junior to turn away from Clay’s intentions, Henry calls
Lassiter, who agrees to send Junior to bring Danny safely back to the
United States. Collecting Danny, Junior sets up a trap for Henry, but she
warns him via a cover t listening device hidden in her tooth. Ambushing the
younger assassin, Henry explains to Junior that he is a clone, convincing
him by revealing their similar traits that no one else could know. Escaping

All of their achievements couldn’t be possible without the suppor t of
their coaches, Prof. Isabela Malazar te and Prof. Merick Jan Nuevacubeta
and the CS community specially, to Dr. Carmencita Palanca, CS Dean.
According to Prof. Malazar te, the CS athletics team could do more if
they have enough time to practice and enhance their skills. “Bawi nalang
sa susunod at mas pagbutihin pa” Prof. Malazar te added.
At the end of the day, the Alchemist really proved that they are also
one of the teams that should be feared and remembered when it come
s to spor ts.

back to GEMINI, a hear tbroken Junior confronts Clay, who claims that he
must defeat Henry in order to surpass him.
Finding Henry after sneaking out of GEMINI, Junior allies with him to
bring down Clay, while Henry urges Junior to quit in order to become
someone better. Baron is killed in an ambush ordered by Clay, with Junior
knocking Clay unconscious after a brief hand-to-hand fight.
After defeating a wave of GEMINI operatives, Henry, Danny, and
Junior face another operative with special body armor who feels no
pain or emotions. After shooting him repeatedly and along with several
secondary explosions, they manage to kill it. They remove his helmet, and
he is discovered to be a younger clone of Henry, with all emotion and
ability to feel pain removed. A defeated Clay tries to justify his actions
towards Junior, who almost shoots him. Henry persuades Junior otherwise
and kills Clay himself, having already lived with the heavy burden.
Assured that there are no more clones that were produced and that
they are finally free from harm’s way, Henry later meets with Junior,
who has enrolled in college under the assumed identity of “Jackson
Brogan” after Henry’s mother’s surname. Together, Henry and Danny
plan Jackson’s future.
With a large set of social media images and stolen identities, Gemini
Man didn’t failed to achieve the dreamy atmosphere with the actors
compelling performances. Pushing things to the next level made the
movie to have its twisted sense of humor and capturing its perfect
monochromatic Pinterest mood. You might like mysteries, count this
movie in.

I should not have opened my eyes at 3:59 am. I lost you as the result. I lost you forever
in the million possible chance.
We find ourselves in the first time we took the chance to release the anger within us.
I used my special dreadful stares at you. While at the same time, you made a power defense
called--fierce sensation. There this strong grudge that is enough to hold my anger against
you in a long period of time and to the other people you were with.
Obviously, you weren't a Filipino, you were from the other side of the world--invading our
land, our home, our life. You foreign people with the unfamilliar faces created a nightmare
to every Filipino even during the day. You ruined everything I had. I lost my family, I lost my
freedom.
The fear causes me to shiver from where I am hiding myself. Anticipating that there is
no chances of winning to get slaved for forever. Until, the white curtain couln't do more to
save me from this terrifying seconds of living. Someone already saw me standing behind the
curtain--pointing out the light of the flashlight directly right to my face. Inside my room,
wherein my freedom and hope started to drift away.
I managed to stare back at you angrily. You already took my life without doing anything
at the moment. I had my beautiful family living peacefully before, until you came. I couldn't
move or even talk. Just staring right into you. Hoping that staring could kill you just in a
span of seconds. I hate you foreign people! Filipino people deserve to live free.
One step is the approximate distance we shared. No one is moving, others throwing
dirty jokes while exiting the room. You were in a such stoic facial reaction. Still, the curtain
is in front of me. Until, I took the first move to persuade you. I beg you to free me from this
aghast nightmare. I caught myself crying in front of you just to save me. I was afraid. I
was scared.
It was a surprise you helped me. You managed to calm me down. Promising, you will save
me. We managed to escape the room since just the two of us left inside the room.
Running like escaping the reality. Hiding from all hindrances. Hoping for a second
time around of chances. Holding like you are my guide to continue the path we agreed.
Enlightening oneself that this tragedy will end soon.
We stopped at your auntie's beautiful house and decided to take some rest and
feel the coldness from the tiles--laying in front of the door. We were surrounded by those
wonderful breeds of any kinds of dogs. Gasping some air, while waiting for your aunt to open
the door.
After diverting all my attention to those dogs, I decided to start a conversation with
you again. But to my surprise, what does this kid doing here together with me? I know for
sure that all this time, I was with you. I frozed in the moment seeing a kid sitting beside
me. Things started to became weird, wherein, I also started to open my eyes.
"What are you? Did you come from the future? A time traveler?" Questions that kept on
looping inside of my brain. Regretting that I opened my eyes at 3:59 am without the answers
from you. Whoever who you are and wherever you came from, I hope we could see each other
again in my most favorite place of the night--dreamland.
