1. From the above activity that I did, I noticed how easy to get some basic information about a
person because modern world really enhances the characteristics and attributes of technology but
of course upon searching my name in the search bar, a lot of information showed up which is I
think one of the disadvantage of these modern technology for the reason that information in the
social media are somewhat different or wrong from the reality one the reason why every
individual must know how to criticize right and legit sources so that they will not misinterpret
information . With these activity, I realized that the world and the knowledge of every person is
too far away from what it used to be but still at the end of day these modern world still has a
good effect or beneficial advantages especially in treating mental illnesses and such.

2. Well, upon searching my name the only information that showed up is my facebook account
which I think a combination of reliable and not reliable information. It somehow contains
reliable information because it shows up my name which only considered as the basic
information that a person may have. However, as a I stated above it also contains some not
reliable information because my address, the city and the province I live in is not exactly my
primary address that has been stated there, another thing is I didn’t share any basic information
about me, like my age, birthday, schools and educational attainment which I set it on the setting
of the app to not showed up my information to a public.

3. The result has not violated my privacy for the reason that sharing information in social media
is a choice because using these platforms you must have known one of its disadvantage and that
is to save information about you. Furthermore, these is the reason why every netizen must know
the importance of the word “think before you click and share” because we humans are only the
main culprit behind sharing our information in the social media platform, so it is a choice and
have a mere consent coming from you. Always remember that sharing your information in
public, you also allow every individual to see that.

1. Are sources listed for the facts?
- Not all sources are listed for facts because some contains wrong interpretation which
somehow will affect the knowledge of the users.
2. Can information be verified through another source?
- Yes, a lot of legit sources are in the internet also which supports each other’s
information or maybe somehow does not support or related to each other but the
concept and thoughts are the same.
 3. Has the site been edited for grammar, spelling, etc.?
- Yes, there are a lot of site that has been use to check and edit grammar, spelling,
plagiarism and the like. Example of this are grammarly, reverso and the likes.

1. Is the publisher reputable?
- Legit sources have a publisher that is reputable or in layman’s term good reputation.
2. Is the sponsorship clear?
- Yes, legit sources contains clear information.
3. Is a phone number or postal address available?
- Yes for right sources but in actually some sources not containing these.
4. Is there a link to the sponsoring organization?
- Yes but some has not.
5. Is the author qualified to write on this topic?
- If the information contains relevancy and reliability of the topic, then it is a yes and if
the organization allows him to write also.

1. Does the sponsor have commercial interests?
- Yes, some sources used this to promote something at the same time benefited from
some incentives of it.

- Yes, I think is a nice strategy to be more effective source.

- Legit sources must free from any bias situation instead they must have an equal sight
and discussion of every information.

- Yes, it one of the most important information to checked if the sources are legit.

- Yes, timeliness will lead every information up to date.

- Yes, it is important the clearness of every information in order to assess its reliability

- Yes, every legit sources must contain full details of information in every sides and
angles so that relevancy and legitimacy are well maintained.

- Yes, so that there will be no unanswered questions.

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED

1. Yes, online research is reliable as long as information comes from reliable and legit sources. The
truth is online research are very beneficial because it does not only contain reliable information
 but also affect the knowledge of every individual in the society especially in these era wherein
information is considering as one of the drivers of modern technology and society.

2. Cite sourcing or acknowledging their names that the idea or the words itself comes from other
people are the best way in order to respect the intellectual property of others. Always
remember that acknowledging is really a must so the world we live in will be free from any
plagiarism crime that can be imposed to other person who commit plagiarism or owning
someone’s work.
