PATALASANLAHI 2022 OF THE UP SANLAHI ALLIANCE

The University of the Philippines (UP) Sanlahi Alliance will spearhead the virtual
PATALASANLAHI 2022 scheduled on April 2−4, 2022. PATALASANLAHI is an academic inter-
school competition for grade school, junior high school (JHS), and senior high school (SHS)
students from different provinces and regions nationwide.

For this year the Sanlahi Alliance chose the theme SINAG with the aim to shed light on
the most pressing issues in the Philippines and to emphasize the importance of the youth's
role and involvement in bringing the truth to the community.

The PATALASANLAHI consists of individual and group competitions for elementary,

JHS, and SHS who were declared winners on the provincial/regional academic level
competitions. It includes essay writing, pagsulat ng sanaysay, traditional and digital poster
making, extemporaneous speech, dagliang talumpati, debate, filmmaking, and the launching
of the first digital poster making.

Any duly recognized provincial, regional, or ethnolinguistic organization based in the

University of the Philippines Diliman and member-organization of the UP Sanlahi Alliance can
send:

1. Three teams composed of three members per team in the Quiz Show, each for
elementary and secondary level (JHS);
2. One team composed of three members in the Debate Competition, each for
JHS and/or SHS;
3. Three teams composed of at least five and at most members per team in the
Short Film Making Competition, for SHS only;
4. Three contestants in Essay Writing, each for Elementary, JHS, and SHS;
5. Three contestants in Pagsulat ng Sanaysay, each for Elementary, JHS, and
SHS;
6. Three contestants in Extemporaneous Speaking, each for JHS and SHS;
7. Three contestants in Dagliang Talumpati, each for JHS and SHS;
8. Three contestants in Traditional Poster Making, each for Elementary, JHS,
and SHS; and
9. Three contestants in Digital Poster Making, each for JHS and SHS.
