REGIONAL ORIENTATION ON THE USE OF SELF LEARNING MODULES (SLM)

FOR LEARNERS WITH DISABILITIES

TO: Schools Division Superintendents

CID Chiefs

1. To sustain the delivery of quality, accessible, relevant and liberating basic

education services for all children especially to learners with disability, DepEd
SOCCSKSARGEN Region will conduct a regional orientation on the use of Self
Learning Materials (SLM) for learners with disabilities on September 10, 2020 from
8:00 AM to 4:30 PM via Google Meet.

2. The objectives of this activity are:

2.1 To orient special education and receiving teachers on the use of different
Self Learning Materials for learners with disabilities.

2.2 To ensure that activities and learning materials are tailored to meet the
needs of learners with disabilities.

2.3 To strengthen commitment and passion to provide academic intervention

and support to children with exceptional needs.

3. Participants for this orientation are Division Supervisors In-charge of SPED

program and selected teachers of learners with disabilities. The number of slots for
the expected number of participants per division is listed below:

Special Education program for dissemination to the target participants.
