SECTION A
2. In the figure, ABCD is a rhombus, in which ∠DAB = 62°. Find the values of x and y. 2
3. In the given figure, O is the centre of the circle and ∠DAB = 50°. Find the values of x and y.
4. The percentage of marks obtained by a student in the monthly unit tests are given
below:

9. The diameter of the moon is approximately one-fourth of the diameter of the earth. What
fraction of the volume of the earth is the volume of the moon? 3
10. Show that -3 is a zero of the polynomial 6x3 + 23x2 + 9x – 18. Also find the other zeros of
the polynomial. 3
SECTION C
11. Let R1 and R2 are the remainder when the polynomials x3+2x2−5ax−7 and x3+ax2−12x+6 are
divided by x+1 and x−2 respectively. If 2R1+R2=6, find the value of a. 5
12. At a Ramzan mela, a stall keeper in one of the food stalls has a large cylindrical vessel of
base radius 15cm filled up to a height of 32cm with orange juice. The juice is filled in
small cylindrical glasses(see fig) of radius 3cm up to a height of 8cm, and sold for 3 each.
How much money does the stall keeper receive by selling the juice completely? 5
13. O,B, D and C are the vertices of a rhombus and A,B, D and C lie on the circle with centre
O, as shown in figure. Find ∠BOC, ∠ OBC, ∠ BAC and ∠BDC. 5
