SAPLING PLANTATION REPORT

The District Forest Officer and Dr.Jeyasekaran Hospital and Nursing Home

jointly planted Mangroves and other wetland plants in Manakudi. Our Students and

teachers of Dr.Jeyasekharan College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences were

actively participated in this programme along with government officials. We have

planted 100 saplings on 30.07.2022 in the bank of Manakudi Backwaters. We started the

programme by 11.00am Government officers guided us on how and where to plant a

Mangrove sapling. The aim of the program is to plant Mangrove sapling as it has the

benefits of protecting the water quality by removing chemicals and pollutants from storm

water runoff before they reach seagrass habitats and coral reefs and also absorbs water

during heavy rains and storm surge, reducing the chances of coastal flooding with a view

to conserve the slough areas in Manakudi. We have completed the sapling plantation by

12.45pm. Snacks and soft drinks were distributed to all the Volunteers.

மாவட்ட வன அலுவலர் மற்றும் டாக்டர்.ஜெயசேகரன் மருத்துவ அறக்கட்டளை

இணைந்து மணக்குடியில் சதுப்புநில செடிகள் மற்றும் சதுப்புநில தாவரங்களை

நட்டனர். எமது டாக்டர்.ஜெயசேகரன் செவிலியர் மற்றும் அது சார்ந்த சுகாதார அறிவியல்

கல்லூரியின் மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் ஆசிரியர்கள் அரசு அதிகாரிகளுடன் இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியில்

பங்கேற்றனர். மணக்குடி காயல் கரையில் 30.07.2022 அன்று காலை 11.00 மணி அளவில்

100 சதுப்புநில மரக்கன்றுகள் நடும் பணி தொடங்கப்பட்டது. சதுப்புநில மரக்கன்றுகளை

எங்கு எப்படி நடுவது என்று அரசு அதிகாரிகள் வழிகாட்டினர். சதுப்புநில செடிகள் நீரின்

ரசாயணங்கள் மற்றும் மாசுபாடுகள் கடல் புல் வசிப்பிடங்கள் மற்றும் பவளப்பாறைகளை

அடையும் முன் அகற்றி நீரின் தரத்தை பாதுகாக்கும் நன்மைகள் கொண்டவை.இவை

பெருமழை மற்றும் புயல் நேரங்களில் நீரை உறிஞ்சி பெரு வேள்ளத்தை தடுக்கிறது.

மணக்குடியில் உள்ள சதுப்புநிலப் பகுதிகளை பாதுகாக்கும் நோக்கில் இந்த

மரக்கன்றுகள் நடப்பட்டுள்ளன. மதியம் 12.45 மணி அளவில் மரக்கன்று நடும் பணி

முடிவடைந்தது. தொண்டர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் சிற்றுண்டி மற்றும் குளிர்பானங்கள்

வழங்கப்பட்டது.
