c. Course Description: A specialized professional course for civil engineering students in structural
engineering designed to enable the design of reinforced concrete structures.

Technical Drawings:

•Preliminary design could be printed on an A4 size paper.

•Final drafts of plans must be printed on an A3 size paper.

•All files must be printed in A4 except for Plans.

•Important information on the plans must be readable and


clear.

•Use templates on the drawings. Attach the logo of your


company as well.

•Must be drawn to scale.

*All preliminary design must be submitted on the week after


the First Exam.

*Final submission of Output and Defense presentation will be

About Submission:

•You will be given a cover sheet together with this copy. Fill out
the form and don’t forget to sign the sheet. Use CAPITAL
LETTERS.

•Compile all the papers in order. Please see the order above.

•You’re going to defend your project output. Presentation will


last for 10-15 minutes using Microsoft PowerPoint presenter.
Wear your business attire. Assign your group mates to present
the 3 AREAS:

AREA 1 – NARRATIVE REPORT OF THE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN.

Present the plan like you are promoting the company’s design.

AREA 2 – STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS

Elaborate the analysis process and enumerate the encountered


engineering problem and its solutions.

AREA 3 – STRUCTURAL DETAILING

Explain the details of the structural plans.

If there are items that should be revised. You are only allowed
to comply it within 72 hrs.

•Late submission will attract 5% deduction for each day delay.


You’re given up to 6 days after the final exam beyond that your
grade will be automatically zero for this task only. Please
submit it as early as possible.

14. POLICIES AND GUIDELINES

a. Attendance is counted from the first regular class meeting.


b. A validated student identification card must always be worn by all students while attending classes.
c. Cheating is strictly prohibited. Any form of dishonesty shall be dealt with accordingly. Honesty is
called for at all times.
d. Valid examination permits are necessary in taking the examinations as scheduled. CELLULAR
PHONES or any ELECTRONIC GADGETS and PRESCRIBED PRC CALCULATORS are NOT allowed during
EXAMINATIONS.
e. Base-15 grading policy should be observed. Students who obtained failing scores in major exams
are recommended to attend the tutorial class.
f. The policies and guidelines from existing relevant operational procedures manual (OPM) instituted
by the university shall always be adhered.
