PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
The learners: should be able to uses common productivity tools effectively by maximizing
advanced application techniques.
I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
1. Identify the various benefits of using word processing software and its main parts.
2. Determine the purpose of the commands on the menu bar.
3. Used common productivity tools effectively by maximizing advanced application
techniques.

The teacher will have a short recap on the previous lesson.
C. Motivation:
The teacher will divide students into 4 groups, let students play puzzle game with students to
discover what is the lesson objective by themselves in the ICT website, to improve their
collaborative skills between each other.
D. Activities:
The teacher will show different pictures of tools in MS Word and let the student determine
what is the use of the tools.
E. Abstraction:
The teacher created discussion bared in the ICT website and she will write on the
whiteboard add text, change font size, font color and font face to cover and build students
brainstorm of what they already know about these features in the Microsoft word program.
The teacher will explain the lesson steps through using the LCD monitor, to show students
how to add text, change font size, font color and font face in Microsoft word program. Then
let the students participate one by one to show their friend again how to add text, change
font size, font color and font face. After that show them a video about these steps.
Microsoft Word is the word processing component of the Microsoft Office Suite. It is used
primarily to enter, edit, format, save, retrieve and print documents.

The teacher created a challenging task to encourage students learn and feel exiting at the
same time, through let the students go to their class website and follow challenging steps.
Then students must work in group to complete their task and get a group point. That will help
the students to apply their worksheet steps, and practice what they are learn from my
explanation
