The current state of ICT technologies (i.e., Web 2.0, 3.0, convergent technologies, social,
mobile, and assistive media)
PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
Apply Internet online safety, security, ethics, and etiquette standards and practice in the use of ICTs
as it would relate to their specific professional tracks.
I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
1. Define Analogy;
2. Distinguish the types of analogy;
3. Create pair of terms that has common relationship.

C. Motivation:
The teacher will throw a question:
1. How did gadgets help you?
2. How can you use smartphone effectively?
D. Activities:
Learners are given time to give examples on the different gadgets that they were used
as well as to give its benefits and its purpose.
Allow the learners to share their work in class discussion.
E. Analysis
Start the discussion by broadening the ideas given by the students. Information and
Communication Technology (ICT) plays an important part in our lives and in all aspects of
our society. ICT has become the main method of Communication, getting information and
education, attaining services from businesses, hospitals, utilities, and government,
purchasing products and services, doing personal transactions, and expressing social
advocacies and awareness.

Lead the discussion by highlighting the following uses of ICT in different professional fields:

development of the different professional fields in our society?"

Form the class into group of 3 members. Take turns answering the questions. Share by

ICT – information and communication technology deals with the use of different
communication technologies such as mobile phones, internet, telephone etc. to locate, edit,
and send information.
Assessment:
Using the given Table on Exploration 1.1 (Static and Dynamic), compare and contrast the
differences between online platforms, sites and content.
Assignment:
Identify the correct web platform for Social Change.
1. Identify a problem in your community (e.g., littering, garbage disposal, blocked
drainage, etc)
2. Imagine that you are going to create a website to persuade both community leaders
and members to solve this problem.
