Bunny’s Tale Global Issue

A Bunny’s Tale looked to expand on the issues of women’s rights as Gloria looked to reveal the
exploitation of women in the workplace; especially in a setting where men could heavily manipulate the
women. The treatment of women in the New York Playboy Club isn’t particular to them only but is a
commonality across the world. In the decades since A Bunny’s Tale took place, women have certainly
gained more rights, but how much of those rights are regulated? It’s still very common to see women get
exploited in the workforce, especially since men dominate business.
The work Gloria did may have been criticized at the time, but it was vital toward the equal rights
movement. Revealing the true nature of one of the most popularized gentlemen's clubs in the U.S. Her
work was a necessity for the general public to see the true nature of businesses as they exploited women.
She gave freedom to all the women she worked with while at Playboy because they would finally get the
compensation they deserved after adhering to the strict rules which they had to follow. The demerit
system was one built on sexism and inequality as the rules that protected the women were not enforced.
