B Motivation

Show me!
Identify whether the following are homogeneous or heterogeneous mixture

Have you experience preparing sugar solution?

A sugar solution is prepared by adding dissolving sugar in water. Sugar
solution consists of two components, namely, sugar and water. Today, you will do an
activity that will help you understand the difference between solute and solvent
C Lesson Proper
A solution is a homogeneous mixture. Solvent is the substance that
dissolves another substance. Most of the substance can be dissolved in water,
which make it a universal solvent. While solute is the substance dissolved by
the solvent.
D Activity
The teacher will group the learners into 3 groups. Each group will be given
different substance for the experiment and follow the direction of the teacher.
Direction:
1. Half fill the cup with tap water
2. Add teaspoon of the provided substance per group. Stir well.
3. Leave the set-up for about one minute
4. Observe what happened. (write on the table)

Mixture Components Phase after An you still

(before mixing) combining the distinguished the
substance components?
