1 PURPOSE
The purpose of this Method Statement is to describe the procedure for Indoor plant and landscaping Works,
identifying hazards, environmental issues and mitigation measures for the successful completion of work.

5.0 RESPONSIBILITY
Project Manager:
• Implementing the construction program and managing /Tracking day-to-day activities as per programme
schedule.
• Arranging resources for the timely completion of the project.
• Ensuring that work personnel meet the minimum qualifications for their assignment and are properly
trained.
• In charge of maintaining safety standards by all staff and ensuring that they have required HSE training.
• Responsible for the overall management of the mixing of fertilizer, installation and execution of landscaping
works as per specification and approved drawings.
• To ensure that the team of Engineers and foremen are aware of this MS and all the resources area
available to carry out the work as planned.
• To liaise with the RE to ensure timely approval of WIR’s, Shop Drawing etc.
• He will prepare a plan/maintenance program to ensure the plants established healthy growth.
• Inspect all material / equipment received at site for the work in compliance with approved RAM.
• Attend all inspection as per IR notification & ensure acceptance of Engineer.
• Maintain all test reports and inspection reports at site.
• Ensure corrective and preventive actions are effective.
• Reporting and monitoring of non-conformance status.
• He will coordinate with the Project Manager on a daily basis and will ensure proper distribution of the
workforce and equipment at required locations.
• He will be aware of the possible risk hazards involved with excavation and comply with all safety
requirements prior to start of the activity.
He should give proper Tool Box Talk to his crew for safe handling of work
5.3 HSE Manager
• He will Responsible for ensuring implementation of all safety Procedure, safety measures related to the
nature of works being carried out and in accordance to the HSE Plan/HEMP.
• Safety officers will maintain continuous inspection of the site activities advice and train involved persons
on a daily basis to prevent accidents, personnel injury and property damage.
HSE requirements shall meet the commitments of Contractor and the sub-contractors directly on site as
described in the COMPANY approved Project HSE Plan.
As a general understanding of requirements, the following shall be observed as mandatory for the
activities being covered in this method statement and it shall be the responsibility of all personnel involved in
safe execution of the construction activities
Health
• During hot summer adequate water to be taken and whole body to be protected from direct sun
rays.
• Hydrolyte Powder / ORS shall be available at site during summer.
Safety
• Method statements for all activities shall be in place and discussed with workers.
• All the new members of the team shall undergo a safety induction course in order to be aware of
the work plus any other company mandated HSE requirement.
• All employees on site shall undergo DUQM medical prior to deployment at site.
• All equipment/vehicles shall be inspected by PSJV HSE and approval sticker provided to the
vehicle.
• All lifting tools / Tackles and equipment shall have third party valid certification before use.
• HSE compliance shall be ensured as per approved HSE plan and procedures.
• Workmen shall have all relevant PPE like safety helmet, shoe, and coverall as necessary for the
job.
• Only Experienced technicians / skilled workman shall be allowed to undertake the job.
• First aid kit shall be available at site and certified first aider assigned for the project.
• A tool box meeting shall be conducted by job performer to brief all concerned about Do’s and
Don’ts. Special coverage of salient points related to the job undertaken and risk involved, including
course of action in case of emergency, shall be ensured during the session.
• All work permits shall be available and approved prior to commencing any work as required.
• Scaffold shall be erected for any work above at height identified as per approved HSE plan and
erect by competent scaffolder. Scaffolds shall be inspected as and when required by competent
supervisor and Scaff tag shall be displayed.
