7.1.3. Test Remedial

The level of re-testing necessary when a fault is found will depend upon the nature of the fault.
If the fault is due to documentation errors, then no re-testing is required but a copy of the
revised section of the respective documents must be attached to the PQ before it is closed.

When all FAT PQs have been successfully re-tested, the tester shall sign and date, Stage 1
section of the record below.

7.2. Stage 2 – Power ON Checks

7.2.1. Test Overview

This test includes verification of the following tests:


 System Ground/Earth Test
o Instrument Circuit Ground (Isolated)
o AC Safety Ground (Non Isolated)
 Power – Up & Load Checks
 Redundancy Checks
o Power Supply

7.2.2. Test Method for System Grounding/Earth Checks

Follow the below steps for successful completion of system grouding checks.
 AC Safety Ground (Non-Isolated)
This test will include:
o Verification of minimum resistance between all equipment grounding
connections and the AC Safety Ground.
o Verification that the AC Safety Ground is suitably identified.
 Instrument Circuit Ground (Isolated)
This test will include:
o Verification of minimum resistance between all equipment and the Instrument
Circuit Ground (Isolated).
o Verification that the Instrument Circuit Ground (Isolated) is suitably
identified.
o Verification of isolation between Instrument Circuit Ground and AC Safety
Ground.
