I.LEARNING COMPETENCIES: Through the use of experiential learning, the students should
be able to:
a. Determine the different types of sewing machine
b. Identify the parts of sewing machine
c. Cite the importance of Sewing
IV. PROCEDURES:
A. INTRODUCTION: This lesson will help the learners to become capable sewer, and learn
that a sewing machine makes the job easier and quicker that can help them advance in
their studies, boost their future career, and create opportunities for growth by the
possibility of putting up a business in Textile Industry.
1. The target learning competencies and the enhanced performance standards are to
classify sewing stitches based on used sewing machines and to interview and to ask a
Tailor for some techniques in proper handling and usage of Sewing Machines.
2. MOTIVATION: Ask students what they see in their school uniform and let the
students examine it.
3. TRIVIA: Did you know that singer sewing machine is the name after Isaac Merit
Singer?
B. INTERACTION
1. ANALYSIS:
a. The students will discuss what is Sewing Machine based on their prior knowledge.
b. The student will enumerate different types of sewing machine and state their uses.
2. ACTIVITY MATCHING: The learners will match a picture of different sewing
machine stitches to the appropriate sewing machine.
C. INTEGRATION
1. EVALUATION:
a. MULTIPLE CHOICE: The learners will answer a 10 Item question.
b. FILL IN THE BLANKS: The learners will answer a 5 Item question.
c. APPLICATION: What is the difference between the lockstitch/domestic sewing
machine and hi-speed lockstitch sewing machine?
2. GENERALIZATION: The learners will talk with their seatmates then later share
with the class the insights that they have learned from the discussion.
3. ASSIGNMENT: In short band paper draw the lockstitch or domestic sewing machine
and label each part.
