I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students are able to:
a. Identify the supplies and equipment of ironing.
b. Appreciate the important use of the tools and equipment of ironing.

II. Subject Matter


A. Topic: Ironing tools, supplies and equipment for clothes and linens.
B. Reference/s: K to 12 learning module Household Services / grade 9
C. Materials: Visual Aid
D. Time table: 30 minutes.

III. Procedures
A. Preparation Activity

 Checking of attendance
 Greet the students and ask them to seat properly.

Activity: Word Hunt

Directions:
1. The teacher will give a puzzle that contains the word about the different tools and equipment
used in ironing.
2. The pupils will answer individually as they will look for the different words in the puzzle. The list
of word may be arranged vertically or horizontally.
Analysis

The teacher will ask the following questions to the pupils;

 Have you seen the following tools found in the puzzle?


 What are the names found in the puzzle?
 What are the use of the tools in ironing?
 How are you going to use the tools and equipment?
 Why do you need to use the tools or equipment for ironing?
 How it can help in your day to day living?

Abstraction

Present the lesson about the supplies and equipment in Ironing.

 Identify the supplies and equipment of ironing


 The teacher will define the working habits of ironing.

Application

The teacher will give time to the pupils to do the peer sharing about on what they have learned from the
lesson. The teacher will then call to share it to everyone.

IV. Evaluation
 Direction. Identify the words that is being asked. Write your answer in you notebook.

 Observe your mother while ironing your clothes. Make a short report about comparing ways on how she
perform ironing in different clothes as preparation for hands-on exercise.
