DOOR LOCK FRONT DOOR LOCK INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

HINT:
· Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
· The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
· Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
· The procedures listed below are for LHD vehicles.
· A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

PROCEDURE

1.INSTALL DOOR LOCK WIRING HARNESS SEAL 69318C

NOTICE:
· When reusing a removed front door lock assembly LH, replace the door lock wiring harness seal with a new
one.
· Do not allow grease or dust to adhere to the door lock wiring harness seal installation surface.
· Reusing a door lock wiring harness seal or using a damaged door lock wiring harness seal may cause water
ingress. This may result in a malfunction of the front door lock assembly LH.

a. Install a new door lock wiring harness seal to the

front door lock assembly LH.

Attach the guide to install the front door lock
remote control cable assembly LH to the front door
lock assembly LH.

Install in this Direction

b. w/ Double Locking System:

Attach the guide to install the front door inside
locking cable assembly LH to the front door lock
assembly LH.

Install in this Direction

3.INSTALL FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY LH 69760C

a. w/o Double Locking System:

Attach the guide to install the front door inside locking cable assembly LH to the front door lock assembly LH.

b. w/ Double Locking System:

i. Attach the guide to install the front door lock
remote control cable assembly LH to the front
door lock assembly LH.

ii. Close the cover to attach the claw.

4.INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Double Locking 69036A
System)

a. Attach the clamp and claw to install the front door lock cover sub-assembly LH.

5.INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH 69320

a. Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the front door lock assembly LH.

b. Connect the front door lock open rod LH to install

the front door lock assembly LH as shown in the
illustration.
HINT:
Make sure that the front door lock open rod LH is
securely connected to the front door lock
assembly LH.

*1 Front Door Lock Open Rod LH

Install in this Direction

c. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the front door lock assembly LH with the 3 screws.
Torque:
5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)

d. Connect the connector.
