ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
S.Y. 2020

I. Introduction:

It is so sad that in this hard time we are facing new challenges. The new normal brought
everyone a burden because our learners would not be able to go to school and cannot longer look for
any references for them to learn. School library is one of the most important highlights in one’s learning.
It helps our learners think beyond what they are reading and at the same time enhance the quality of
learning they will have. School libraries are needed in every schools because they serve as “learner-
oriented laboratories that support, extend, and individualize the school’s curriculum. It gives positive
impact on learner’s achievement through exploring the books and relating it in real life. Having a school
library gives our learners the chance to improve themselves in reading and to comprehend what they
are reading. With that, we are preparing them the future they will have and we are making them ready
to be real competent in this world.

Now a days having a school library is a school requirement, all schools are encouraged to have a
school library and this could be a separate building or shared.

In our school, Gregorio Elmaga Memorial Elementary School is not fully equipped with learning
materials and references because of the following factors:

1. Building- we do not have the availability of room to have our own library.

2. Insufficiency of learning resources- which provide information to the learners.

As a designate librarian, I was able to manage by using the books borrowed from the Library
Hub and distribute it weekly. The teachers in each level used the borrowed books in their mini library
and conducted small discussions during free time. The learners also sometimes read the library Hub
books during their free time. I always make sure that the books are read by the learners and returned it
in well-conditioned.
