Program Title: PAMBANSANG BUWABN AT ARAW NG PAGBASA (PBAP)

Introduction A. National Reading Month is mandated by the Department to
support the DO #14 s of 2018 which aims to improve learners’
critical thinking skills and foster their love for reading by
emphasizing the importance of literacy.
B. Reading has been part of every classroom daily activity.
It is vital because through reading an individual could relate
their experiences that would bring them to the outside world. They
may be able to dream and create a magical world that would bring
them to the realization of their existence.
a. Objectives
• To develop learners love of reading
• To enhance learners reading performance through constant
remediation.
• To develop learners reading comprehension through different
reading materials.
Actual List of Participants All learners and teaching force and school head of Lunib Integrated
and/or Schools School Participated in the activity.
Participated
A. On November 7, 2023 a simultaneous kick-off celebration on
school level.
B. After the flag ceremony, learners of Lunib IS were gathered I
the school covered court to listen to the Reading Ambassador
of the week. Sir Milmar Gallobe the reading ambassador shared
an interesting story about “ ALING OKTOPODA” Support
question were given to assess learners listening
comprehension.
Maam Winda Rose D. Hiolen shared a story about Healhty
Choices.
She gives short message and encouragement to students.
C. Teachers conducted daily reading activities during their reading
remediation schedule. Allowing every learner to participate.
Distributing flashcards and reading materials guided by
teachers.
Teachers read a story to them, ask guided question to their
comprehension.
Ask learners to share also their experience related to the story
they heard. This activity went on throughout the week and
even the whole year round to be able the learners to achieve
the learning ability they should and must apply to themselves.
Learners were asked to read a selection in front of their
classmates.

D. A Reading Pantry was created for learners to spend their vacant


time to sit, and select reading materials and read, had a book
sharing with their classmates or schoolmates to improve their
reading skills and also they create a camaraderie among peers
E. November 30, 2023 was the school Culmination Program on
PBAP. During this day, various activities were done to make the
program more challenging and encouraging to learners. A
poster making was done in the morning after the flag raising
ceremony. Tongue Twister, Jazz Chants Reciting of Poem song
solo and Tula highlighted the program. The program was so
participative and engaging that learners were able to showcase
their talents. Those who win in the contest were given
certificates of recognition. The program ended with a fabulous
Zumba presentation which was participated by all learners and
teachers..
F. Lunib Integrated School aims to give learners the education
they deserve, prioritizing struggling and slow-readers to be
given quality reading ability and comprehension..
