NARRATIVE REPORT

2023 PAMBANSANG BUWAN AT ARAW NG PAGBASA

Theme: Pagbasa: Pag-asa sa MATATAG na Kinabukasan

“To acquire the habit of reading is to construct for yourself a refuge

from almost all the miseries of life” this is according to W. Somerset
Maugham. This famous line fits for this year theme “ Pagbasa: Pag-asa sa
MATATAG na Kinabukasan”.
Book is a good companion. This can inform you, enlighten you and
lead you in the right path. Once you start reading you eventually get addicted
to it. Reading develops language skills and vocabulary. It also helps you
relax and reduce stress. It helps you understand the world around you better.
It keeps your mind active and enhances your creativity skills.
To develop student`s love of reading Tuburan Elementary School
joined the National Reading Month Celebration in consonance with the
Regional Memorandum CLMD no. 216, s.2023 dated November 6,2023 and
Department Memorandum DM-CT 2023 dated October 26,2023 titled 2023
Pambansang Buwan At Araw Ng Pagbasa (PBAP) With The Theme:
Pagbasa: Pag-asa sa MATATAG na Kinabukasan which aims to foster the
love for reading among learners and enhancement of reading and literacy
as pivotal in cultivating critical thinking.
 Activities done are Book Buddy, Reading Pantry, WORDO, Word
Building, Reading Challenge and Read-A- Thon. Activities are all done
during English and Filipino time.
Indeed, love of reading is the key to boost their confidence their
weapon to become successful and better individual in the future.
The said activity was made possible with the cooperation and
participation of all pupils, teachers, SELG officers, reading coordinator and
school head Sir Limuel G. Galindez.
