II. COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course presents an instruction to the basic principles of shorthand and provides application and development of these principles in
reading and writing exercises, presentation, and development of skills in English Grammar, punctuation, and spelling as students transcribe in
longhand dictated letters at 40WPM (words per minute) on practical materials in a three- minutes dictation with 10-15% errors

At the conclusion of the course, it is intended the given instructional objectives will have been attained. The students can:
 Clearly explain in verbal or written form the importance of mathematics in man’s daily life.
 Easily solve problems dealing with numbers
 Perform operations that deals with shapes, lines and curves, angles and triangles
 Perform conversion of units and can find the area, perimeter and volume of a geometrical figure.
 Perform mathematical operations.

VI. Course Policy:

 Attendance will be checked by the instructor every meeting.


 The grace period for late comers would be 15 minutes. Beyond that, the student will be considered absent.
 Three instances of tardiness would be equivalent for one absent.
 Ten consecutive absences are subject for drop out.
 Stenographic Notes and other portfolios must be strictly submitted as scheduled.
 Failure to submit the course requirements on the deadline would mean a failing grade and would no longer be accepted.
 Failure to take periodical examination will be given a chance to take. However, after the lapse of the special examination period and the student still
failed to take the exams, he/she would be given a failed grade.
