Yes ma’am
based on your participation to the
class.

Isn’t clear to everybody class? Students we are good ma’am

So how are you class? How was your day?
Hope that you all good and safe?

That’s good to know that all of you are in

good terms despite the situation we are all
facing at the moment.

Again let’s all begin our day with a word of

encouragement for us to be motivated as we Jacob : Ma’am I am going to share a Bible
go on with our lesson so can anyone from the verse from the of First John chapter 4 verse 4
class will share his/her belief or word of it says that Greater is He who is in us than he
encouragement. Yes Jacob ? who is in this word which means that God is
bigger and greater than any problems that we
Based on our previous discussion what was are facing and about to face.
our last topic all about? Any one from the
class?

Alright that is correct. What a beautiful

encouragement to everybody.

So let’s proceed.

B. MOTIVATION

As we start our lesson for today I want

everybody to think of one word that describe
yourself the most then afterwards pick one of
your classmate then describe her/him using
the word that you think but instead of using
the same word you can utilize other words
which is the same in meaning with the word
you think that describe you the most. Take
for instance; the word that describes me the
most is cheerful then I will pick Jeff and I
will describe him like Jeff is a happy person.
Take note that if your name is being
mentioned by your classmate it is expected Yes ma’am
that you are the next to think one word and
describe his/her fellows. Am I clear class?

Do you have any question before we start?

If it is none then we will start. I will do it
first okay?

Alright let’s begin Student 1: Ma’am our last topic is about

fiction and non-fiction
After 5 to 10 minutes the teacher elicits the
prior knowledge of the student. Students will express their ideas about the
previous activity
Based the activity we do while ago what do
you think will be our lesson for today class?
Kim : ma’am meaning is by giving definition
C. LESSON PROPER to something .

So class our lesson for today is about shades

of meaning. When we say meaning what
does it mean? Yes Kim?

That is correct

So for us to understand what it really means

we will do it by graded recitation so that
everybody will gain points as they Mark : Shades of meaning is defined as a
participate. Is it clear class? slight difference in the meaning.

So for your own understanding what is Red : this is by giving meaning

shades of meaning?
Melody : this is by describing using two
Yes Mark? different words with the same meaning
ma’am
Okay next , yes Red?
Continue…..
You have point, next okay we have melody?

Continue…..

The teacher will correct if the answers of the

students is correct and tries to elaborate the
word being defined.
All your answer is correct. Shades of
meaning is a phrase used to describe the
small, subtle differences in meaning between
similar words or phrases. In other words it is
using two different words but same meaning.
Take for instance; the word kid' and 'youth'
both refer to young people, but carry
differing views and ideas about young Student: Ben walked softly down the
people. hallway.

Now it’s your turn to give example also. I

will give a sentence then highlighted word Student: She was angry with her little brother.
then try to use other word with the same
meaning.

Ben walked quietly down the hallway. Continue..

Very good next..

She was annoyed with her little brother.

The students will do the activity by pair.
Thank you , another.

Continue..

D. APPLICATION

chosen partner then try to formulate sentence
using two different words with the same
