TASK 1 –VISUALIZE ME!
Directions: Give the appropriate response to the following scenario.
1. A Korean national is standing in front of a cashier and seems like hungry. The cashier
felt that he needs something to eat. Knowing his nationality what will you do to
communicate with him in getting his order?

Knowing his nationality I will communicate with him by respectfully asking if he

knows how to speak English or Tagalog, If not I will talk slowly and clearly, keep an eye
contact, and pay attention to his body language. Being patient, respectful, and
culture sensitive is important with dealing these kinds of scenarios.

2. There is Filipino Muslim who wants to eat in your restaurant. He seems tired and
need something to eat and drink. Upon knowing his ethnicity, what will be the food
you will offer to him to make him decide abruptly and satisfy his craving for food?

Muslims have a law to eat only halal foods, they are not allowed to eat or
drink certain foods and drinks like pork and any kinds of alcohol. I will offer them
foods that are halal.

3. There is cross-dresser looking for perfume inside the mall where you are working. As
the sales clerk how will you address the customer properly to avoid discrimination?

As a sales clerk I will gain their trust and make them feel welcome by not making
assumptions, and normalize and validate them. I will ask what pronoun they prefer and I
will ask them to tell me about themself.
