    MODULE 3: PURPOSIVE COMMUNICATION

    TASK 1 –VISUALIZE ME!


    Directions: Give the appropriate response to the following scenario.

    1. A Korean national is standing in front of a cashier and seems like hungry.


    The cashier felt that he needs something to eat. Knowing his nationality
    what will you do to communicate with him in getting his order?
    - If I don’t have the ability to speak Korean language on in short speak
    hangul, I will still assist him in purchasing food, I can communicate with
    him through technology and social media. I can use some helpful
    applications from the Appstore in my phone and look for Filipino or
    English to Korean translation, and I will demonstrate to him until he
    purchases his food inside the store.

    2. There is Filipino Muslim who wants to eat in your restaurant. He seems


    tired and need something to eat and drink. Upon knowing his ethnicity,
    what will be the food you will offer to him to make him decide abruptly
    and satisfy his craving for food?
    - We are aware that all Muslims are forbidden to eat pork or beef
    meat. Knowing hir/her ethnicity, I will offer him a different type of
    food that does not contain forbidden ingredient for him to choose
    what he is going to eat. And I will offer him some good drinks that
    can satisfy his thirst.

    3. There is cross-dresser looking for perfume inside the mall where you
    are working. As the sales clerk how will you address the customer
    properly to avoid discrimination?
    - As an educated person, knowing the identity of that person I will
    approach him/her and ask what should or how can I address her/him
    to make her/him comfortable.
