The data revealed that illustrating quadratic equation (M9AL-Ia-1) and solving quadratic
equations by: (a) extracting square roots; (b) factoring; (c) completing the square; and (d) using the
quadratic formula (M9AL-Ia-b-1) was the most learned by the students during grade 9.
It shows that more than half of the students answer it correctly. On the other side
Illustrating laws of sines and cosines (M9GE-IVf-g-1) was the most difficult for them. There
was a difficulty in analyzing a certain rule about law of sine and cosine.
The subject teacher agreed that they need to develop a certain innovation or strategies
to improved least learned competencies.
