1. Briefly describe your academic qualifications, professional certifications,

if any and your experiences till date, and how would you be a good fit for
the position?
• I am a fresh graduate from Ateneo de Davao University where I
studied Civil Engineering. I have worked since I was seventeen in
my family’s business “Abeysinghe trading” which is imports and
sells trucks, equipment, and machinery. I worked as a purchasing
officer but have often filled in for the manager when needed. I am
sure that I would be a great fit to your company as I am already
fluent in Japanese so I can assure that communications between
myself and my superiors will be smooth.
2. What do you expect when work in this company for the first time?
• I expect to be learning from my colleagues and associates but to
also provide and apply the knowledge and skills that I have studied
from school as well as the ones I have developed from my previous
experiences of work.
3. What will the company gain through your skills / industry experience?
• As I have mentioned earlier, I am adept in speaking Japanese and
will be to convey the plans and instructions to other people as I
have noticed that there is a lot of miscommunications between
those employed locally and the engineers in charge. Another
benefit is that I am very useful and knowledgeable when it comes
to the prices of equipment and machinery used for a project and
will be able to provide advice that can help reduce cost in that part
of planning a construction.
4. How do you develop yourself professionally?
• The way I develop myself is through always learning from others.
Even before I would always ask client engineers about their
projects and their approaches to building a site. I find that
5. How do you keep your motivation going?
• The way I keep my motivation going is by thinking that everything
is always an opportunity to learn in every situation. For me every
tomorrow is always the next step in becoming a better engineer
and person.
6. What other strengths do you have either academically or experientially
that you would like to add?

My main strength is my tenacity to always finish the task. I have always

been very focused on achieving a goal, even if it is difficult, I simply
cannot leave a job done halfway.

7. Do you have any additional information you wish to share to support your
application?
• As well as my knowledge I can provide a stronger partnership
between Abeysinghe trading, prioritizing your company as we
always have since we have worked together for a long time and
will continue to help you in your visions of creating and
building infrastructure.

STEP 3: Submit your Resume / CV and cover/ application letter [Submit your
resume / cv and cover letter / application letter along with this document and the video
link or copy via attachments.]

STEP 4: More about yourself [Please limit your answers to less than 1,000 words per
question]

What is your greatest achievement to date and why do you regard it as such?
• My greatest achievement to date is finishing my civil engineering
degree. I value it highly because both my parents were not able to
finish college and were not able to pursue the careers they would
have wanted in life. Graduating college does not only mean being
qualified to find a job for me but it means that I have achieved the
lost dreams that my parents once I had.
Describe yourself in the words of an imaginary, fair and impartial critic.
• Risaldi is a focused and diligent worker. He methodically assesses
a situation and can provide solutions which can be an asset to your
company. His background in engineering and construction
equipment ensures that he will be able to handle any task given.
Why are you interested in a position with the company? (If you are an overseas
applicant, why are you considering a career move to this country, and to work in
this company in particular?)
• The reason that getting a position within Shimizu company is my
goal is because. My ideals align very well with the company and
because I believe that in order for Shimizu to expand to further
places in southeast asia they would have to also consider the
culture of the communities they are working with in order to please
everyone. Because of my experiences in places such as the
Philippines, Japan, and Sri Lanka I can relate to how these
communities feel and what the best course of action is in order to
help them.
