PRELIMINARY
In accordance with the education curriculum in the field of shipping, cadets
who are in semesters V and VI for the nautical and engineering majors are
required to carry out Sea Project for 12 months (1 year) on commercial ships,
both State and private ships, because Prala is one of the requirements for
obtaining a Nautical Expert Certificate (ANT-III / COC-III ). By this chance, cadets
can understand about ship navigation equipment (components) and real life on
board.
Therefore, it is hoped that after going down to carry out sea project and
understand correctly about the various maritime / ship navigation that have been
studied in education (campus / training) for the fourth semester and practice for
the second semester on the ship.
Thus , with the existence of Prala, it is hoped that cadets will understand
well about their field of expertise so that they can become professional and
responsible shipping officers on commercial ships. In addition to the dilaksanaka
prala n , Book Package Prala is expected to add expertise Taruna which all the
knowledge acquired during Prala has been manifested in this report.

FOREWORD
Praise and gratitude for the presence of God Almighty, who has given grace
and blessings so that the author is allowed to complete this Prala Package report
with the title : " SEA PROJECT PAPERWORK".
The purpose of this paperwork is intended to fulfill the requirements for
obtaining a Diploma in Marine Expert Nauticals Level Three (ANT-III / COC-III ) in
the Passover Sea project program at National Maritime Academy of Jakarta Raya
(AMAN JAYA).
The author realizes that in the writing of the Prala Package there are still
deficiencies, therefore the author really expects constructive criticism and
suggestions from various parties.
On this occasion the author would like to express his deep gratitude to:
1. Capt. Bangun Husodo, MM., M.Mar as The Director of the National
Maritime Academy of Jakarta Raya (AMAN JAYA).
2. Capt. Yuliana Silaen, SE., M.Mar as Nautical Head of Department (KAJUR
NAUTICA).
3. The Officers who have guide cadets during their practice at sea.
4. The Lecturers of The National Maritime Academy of Jakarta Raya.
5. Shipping Management of PT.BINA BUANA RAYA / IBC
6. Master, Officers and All Crew OF MV. PREMIUM BAHARI
7. All fellow cadets and friends who have given a lot of encouragement an
input to complete this sea project report.
8. Especially, The author convey a respectfull and thanks to my
family, Suyatno and Siti Musliah who have provided, encouragement
and prayers during this prala complete report.

Thus the PRALA paperwork for cadets as a requirement to get an ANT-III marine
diploma. Hopefully this prala paper can be useful in the future. In the preparation
of the prala paperwork there are still many shortcomings, therefore cadets expect
criticism and suggestions to further perfect the prala’s paper work that cadets
compile.

                                                                                                  Author,

                                                                                               GILANG PURNAMA P

CONCLUSIONS AND ADVICES

A. Conclusion
Based on the completion process of the preparation of this Prala
Paperwork task which is very dense with these problems in the maritime world,
especially the problem of ship navigation, the Taruna concludes that the Sailing
Training Program regarding the procurement of Sea projects is very necessary for
Shipping Cadets to be able to understand, understand as well as practice all the
knowledge gained in education and that theory must be accompanied by practice,
so that the trust of Taruna is increasing as a provision to become a strong and
responsible Shipping Officer on commercial ships.
B. Advice
Sea project is indeed very important, Taruna advises that after completing
the Marine Pre-Practice Marine Examination (Pre Prala) if possible the Prala
Operator coordinates all cadets who pass the exam and are ready to carry out Sea
project in order to cooperate with all shipping companies in Indonesia as outlined
by the government a kind of decision that has legal force so that the cadets are
channeled to the shipping company to carry out Basic Sea Practices. The basis is so
that Indonesian Sailors, especially graduates of the Maritime Academy, are able
to talk or compete with foreign sailors in the world who can ultimately elevate the
dignity of the nation in the maritime world. , considering that the Indonesian
nation is dubbed a maritime country because the area of the Indonesian state is
wider than its land area and seas and islands.
To this day there are so many seafarers who have Marine diplomas but are
unemployed which in our opinion is not due to a lack of employment but a lack of
quality from those concerned, even though not a few of them have quite high
diplomas. Institutions or Education and Training Agencies and related institutions
that provide education or training so that they can actually produce quality sailors
so that later in the field they can work with knowledge and insights which are
quite encouraging, because currently there is news that says diplomas can be
traded without following formal education. It is so hard for Taruna who really go
through the ups and downs in college to receive it , but everything is returned to
the person concerned to be responsible for his actions.

The government, in this case the Department of Sea Transportation in particular,

should as far as possible continue to regulate the recruitment and job placement
process for seafarers who have expertise and skills, so that the practice of
brokering does not expand , based on the experience of many senior cadets who
complain about the difficulty of finding quality ships. internationals to implement
linkages resulting from increasingly mushrooming brokers. Closing suggestions on
this occasion, Taruna once again thanked him for the support and assistance from
all parties. May the Indonesian people always be victorious in the eyes of the
world.

CLOSING
After the end of the sea project period, which is a practical course that is
directly carried out on a ship and after undergoing a series of seafarer expertise
tests, lectures at the National Maritime Academy of Jakarta Raya are also
completed.

This sea project was then submitted in order to obtain a seafarer

expertise certificate (ANT III / COC III) which was held by The Jakarta Merchant
Marine School (STIP).

The results of this sea project have been stated in the form of questions
and answers that have been compiled by cadets for more than 12 months
carrying out sea project on ships and then tested to get a diploma (ANT III /
COC III).

Hopefully this working paper will be useful for cadets as prospective

shipping officers on ships as well as in the national and international maritime
world.

Final words of thanks and best wishes for Indonesian sailors, JALESVEVA
