ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

Trees are essential to our world and offer a wide range of benefits
to our environment. This Tree Planting Activity is one of the
Makakalikasan Activity to be conducted by the SSG Officers to
supplement the need of trees in Upper Sepaka Integrated School
premises. This is also one of the activities to help students understand
how necessary trees in their living activity, today and in the future.

School tree planting activity is an eye opener that allows the


students, parents, stakeholders and other participants to be
knowledgeable with the benefits of trees and foster environmental
stewardship. Tree planting is a great way to increase students interest in
their local environment and achieve academic goals. Each school
administrators, faculty and students to affect positive change at their
schools and, in turn their communities.

When students plant trees, they can see for themselves the
structure of trees; learn what they need and how they grow. Teachers,
together with the participanting officials, can use the planting process to
discuss the benefits trees provide while including many subjects that
their classes are studying. Students become aware that they can play a
role in protecting the environment through personal involvement.
Furthermore, tree planting is way of increasing the residents awareness
of the benefits of it. Ultimately, it is hope that will help them make smart
decisions about conservation and use our valuable natural resources.

In the midst of pandemic, a one-day tree planting activity was


made possible by the SSG Officers together with the Upper Sepaka
Integrated School Teachers and its stakeholders. Importance and
purpose of the activity was meaningfully delivered to the participants in
the morning. In the afternoon, 50 trees were planted inside the premises
of the school. Trees were successfully planted in a clean and healthy area
where it will grow tall in years from now.

This tree planting activity was a successful one because of the


stakeholders, teachers and students attendance. Unexpected number of
students arrived, happily and willingly joined the said activity with
proper observance of the social distancing and wearing of mask.

For having this kind of activity improves the community service


skills of the learners as well as their camaraderie. This activity allow

them to show their love of our environment and appreciate more their
surroundings.

Monitoring and surveillance of the planted trees will be in the


responsibility of the SSG Officers.
