SENSOR

The sensor provides information on the process of control and regulation of the process.
Process information from the production process, process technique or other automation fields
are usually not present as electrical quantities, but as the distance of a path, angle, pressure or
level, also as a physical quantity.

MEASUREMENT

Measurement, the process of associating numbers with physical quantities and phenomena.
Measurement is fundamental to the sciences; to engineering, construction, and other technical
fields; and to almost all everyday activities.

CONTROL ELEMENT

Control Element means a facility serving as one component of a control alternative. A high - rate
treatment (HRT) facility or a relief interceptor would be examples of control elements. Source
reduction through municipal collection system rehabilitation or through green stormwater
infrastructure would also be examples of control elements.

PROCESS

A process is a series of steps and decisions involved in the way work is completed. We may
not realize it, but processes are everywhere and in every aspect of our leisure and work.

CONTINUOUS ACTION MODE

Continuous Mode means the mode of operation of an Energy Storage Resource Model

Participant that includes both negative and positive megawatt quantities (i.e., the Energy
Storage Resource Model Participant is capable of continually and immediately transitioning
from withdrawing megawatt quantities from the grid to injecting megawatt quantities onto the
grid or injecting megawatts to withdrawing megawatts).

SEQUENTIAL CONTROL

Sequential control, also known as “step control”, it controls the device in a pre-determined
order. An example of sequential control is the car wash described above, which works after
throwing money and pressing a button, thanks to which the car is washed with water and
detergent and then polished.

ERROR

An error (from the Latin error, meaning "wandering") is an action which is inaccurate or
incorrect. In some usages, an error is synonymous with a mistake. In statistics, "error" refers to
the difference between the value which has been computed and the correct value.

FINAL CONTROL ELEMENT

Often the final control element is a control valve. It is an instrument that takes action to adjust
the manipulated variable in a process. Final control elements can also be solenoids and
servomotors.

FEEDBACK

Feedback is the response or reaction of the receiver after perceiving or understanding the

message. It enables the sender to evaluate the effectiveness of the message. It is inevitably
essential in case of two-way communication.

DECREASE CLOSE LOOP CONTROL SYSTEM

The closed-loop system including a negative feedback signal can be connected to the input of
the system is named as a negative feedback system. This kind of system is also named as
degenerative feedback. These types of systems are very stable and also enhance strength.

CLOSE LOOP CONTROL SYSTEM

A closed-loop control system can be defined as, a system that has a feedback loop (or)
a control system that uses a feedback signal to generate the output. The stability of this system
can be controlled by a feedback system. So, by providing a feedback system, any open-loop
control system can be changed into a closed loop.
